● – || His fingers glided along the keyboard as he listened to her words. Ever so subtly, he changed the melody to going from melancholic to something warmer and lighter that he thought she might enjoy. She didn’t need to know of the sadness in his heart, that would only cause for a sad conversation down the road. One that he didn’t need to have with her just yet.
“Sometimes, a little touch is all that you need.” He replied quietly, “I’d love to play alongside you, Luna. Any time, any place.”
He thought that just playing along side her would be a good bonding activity for the two of them. Besides, they could probably play some beautiful music and even go forward with entertaining guests at balls and parties with their playing. At least, selfishly thinking, it would allow for Noctis to not have to actually be socially with the guests – something he dreaded more than anything.
“You play the harp?” He asked, shooting her a little glance, “I’d love to hear you play some day. I think it only fair considering that you’re listening to me play right now.” His lips curled into a smile at the thought of him sitting beside her while she played, reading and watching her movements. Everything she did was graced by Heaven’s light. Having the chance to witness her do something else that she was good at would be a real treat.
“I can’t wait to hear it. I’m sure you play beautifully.”
‘ mm, i used to play more before i was oracle. i do hope i haven’t gotten too rusty. ’
not that she would ever bemoan her duties , people needed an oracle & she was more than happy to play that part. the melody shifts , & luna closes her eyes for a moment , taking in the music with a smile curving her lips up now. playing the harp had always brought her a sense of peace , a small time where she didn’t have to think about anything but what note came next.
‘ well, i hope you wouldn’t be expecting something too grand. i’m no composer, i simply....play how i feel. ’
her head rests lightly against his shoulder , one hand tucking a stray piece of hair behind her ear now. that was often the trouble she found with keeping it short , it tended to come loose more often than she cared to fix. but right now , she’s content watching noctis’ fingers dance across the keys thinking for a moment before she speaks.
‘ i look forward to returning the favor of a performance, though.’
