Call me what ever you want really (if it's not offensive.) but I go by river some times.
This blog is going to be mostly yapping about my oc or writing about them.
Pls don't follow me if you're younger than 16. I'm a minor my self and I would just like people who are around the same age as me so this blog is 16+. I will not stand transphobs, Trump stand's, homophobic people, and people who are hateful in any way.
Here is the OC LIST so far
(full name, nationality, birth year, fandom.)
(Ezara Hackett, 🇬🇧🇮🇪, 1991, Gorillaz)

It's not finished yet but this is how far I have gotten. ( As you can see I have a unhealthy relationship with Gorillaz/jk)
If you have question's then leave them in the comments or Leave me an ask!.
Um hi. I'm going to try and make this quick as possible but I was wondering if you could give me some tips on how to write a cheater like Murdoc?. I really want to write fanfics about my Oc's and Murdoc together but since I have only been in this fandom for like 2 years I don't feel qualified enough to write for a charter like Murdoc. so you as an older and more experienced writer could you please share some of your wisdom on to a low life like me? (Please and thank you)
Hi Anon! Muds is my favorite chew toy, I love talking about him haha
I'm assuming you mean a cheater as in adultery? (He's also a bit of a cheater in every other respect, too). I'm going off that assumption, so if I'm wrong, sorry in advance! I may be misreading, so my answer is mostly about writing him as a character in general.
How to write his character would really depend a lot on your OC—what kind of person they are, their attitude toward cheating, their age and how experienced they are with other relationships, their trust levels, etc. That would greatly affect how they interact and react to Murdoc and his non-committal tendencies. It would also matter how it happens in the story.
But for just writing Murdoc specifically, I've been writing him for uhhhhh about 15 years (good lord) so I can give a few tips on how I get "in his head". Granted this might be more info than you need, but I think it's important to know WHY he might do anything (including cheat). Because motivation is everything. You need to know why a character does something to know how to write them in a believable way.
I'm keeping it as PG as possible, since I'm not sure of your age. I added a read more because I yapped a lot, so here's my thoughts ⬇️
Murdoc is a very layered and complex character. He's extremely morally grey, and is certainly not a saint, but he's also not evil. He CAN be benevolent, when it suits him. These are my interpretations of his character that I use to direct the way I write him, which could be used for any general writing reasons:
First of all, he's a compulsive liar, and extremely unreliable. Sometimes he lies to get out of unpleasant situations, sometimes he lies because it's fun, and sometimes he has to lie to himself to "protect" himself (whether from unwanted feelings or memories, or just because he can't face facts that he's done something to hurt himself or others, or wriggle out of personal responsibility). There's always some truth to the lies he tells, and unless you knew him well you might not know when or if he's lying at all. That would make many characters who know him not trust him at all. Some more naive characters might not be able to tell that he's lying in the first place until he's proven to be false. He lies to himself as much as he does to others.
He's also emotionally unstable. He can flit between being aloof one minute, then jealous the next. Sometimes he wants to be left alone, and sometimes he is terrified to be alone. And those changes can happen minute to minute. His emotions might not even make sense to him, and he might lash out to avoid seeming "weak". That being said, he's fully capable of being pleasant and affable. He likes to joke around, and he likes being liked. He's a fun person to be around if you don't have to count on him. But his instability and unpredictability can be off-putting and might make others frustrated with or even afraid of him.
He also loves (needs) to overindulge. He thinks and feels too much, even if he says he doesn't. He needs constant distractions, whether that's to ignore his own feelings, or to keep from delving too much into his own thoughts. He needs to lie to himself. He's an alcoholic, and an "ex-speed-freak" as Cass put it, and tends to "get around" (or at least he says he does).
And he's obsessed with his own image. He wants (needs) to be famous and loved, even if he says he doesn't, and will do almost anything to maintain that. He doesn't really have anything to prove anymore, but he can't take being seen as less than what he wants to be seen as. He both loves and hates himself, as Russel put it. He wants to be liked, and might like flirting for this reason—it's an ego boost.
He's also a bit of a car salesman. He puts on a show, and he knows how to manipulate people. He's very intelligent and keenly observant. He can sell water to a fish (at least most of the time) and might behave in whatever way he feels will have the best outcome for him. Though if he truly doesn't care enough or is inebriated, he might do whatever is the most fun for him, instead. But, his own show can get in his way, and might not see if he's pushing his act too far to be believed.
The great thing about writing Murdoc is that he's malleable. You can write him lots of different ways and make him fit, especially depending on what age he is in your story.
Is he in his early 30s? He's eager to prove himself. He's in the hedonistic throes of early stardom, and overindulges in the luxuries he's felt were wrongly denied to him for so long. He's "lost in the sauce" and doesn't really have the capacity or forethought to care about how his actions affect others. Like with Paula, he might cheat on someone to get back at them, to prove he can, or to lash out. He wouldn't be more than a one night stand at this age, and would feel confined to be looked at as more than that. He's much more volatile and easier to anger in his younger age.
Is he in his late 30s or early 40s? He doesn't trust the people around him. He's paranoid. The gilded veneer of the music industry has worn off and he's too in his own head. Commitment both enthralls and scares him. He thinks he'll be betrayed and can't let himself get attached. And nothing can get in the way of maintaining his fame. He'll self-sabotage to see if someone really wants him, or he might not be able to resist indulging to keep himself level. He's at his most unpredictable, here.
Is he in his late 40s or early 50s? He's lonely. He feels his power slipping away from him in his middle age and feels his relevancy waning. His other band members are younger and frankly more well liked than him, and they know he's not trustworthy. He wants attention, and he wants love (even if he doesn't say it). And that means compassion as well as physical contact. He'll look for both in whoever will give it, at this point. He's retrospective now more than ever, and might more easily regret his actions, both long and short term.
Now, what does all that have to do with cheating? None of that by itself necessarily means he would, but it does influence how he behaves, and why he might. It influences his motivation. It could be as simple as "he's a rock star and he sleeps around", but that's kind of too flat of a reason and not all that interesting. The motivation gives him reason.
And how he behaves will largely be influenced by your character. If he's confronted, he might try to placate them, or lie, or get embarrassed and angry, or he might just leave. It's up to you! But if you understand him as a character, as well as your own, you'll be able to guide his behavior accordingly.
All that being said, this is just how I see him, and that doesn't make it inherently right. This is just "my version" of Murdoc based on both canon and personal interpretation. He's been written by several canon writers and has gone through several personality changes depending on who wrote him. And there's a lot to dig into about his past (he was extensively abused as a child, was in and out of prison, was canonly bisexual in an era where that wasn't accepted, lived in poverty for most of his life, etc.) that all might influence how he acts now. There's no "wrong" way to write him.
Anyway, the most important thing is to know why he does what he does (even if he doesn't know). And you need to know your own character and their motivations as well to make their interactions believable.
I love to talk shop about Muds, so I hope I didn't ramble too much, and I hope that helped!
Thank you so much for responding! And don't worry about rambling for too long it was actually really interesting to read and very helpful for me. For my age I'm 16 Turning 17 this September and English isn't my first language and plus I have dyslexia so if there were some things that you didn't understand in my ask I'm sorry :').
I'm very grateful that you responded to my ask and I hope to see more great stuff from you:)
I was actually debating on posting her on Tumblr but after I read @cuntdestroyer3000 Fanfic about Peter having a daughter called Freya It gave me the strength to make a mood board for I guess my version of Peters daughter. (P.s I MADE THIS OC FOR SHITS AND GIGGLES DO NOT TAKE THIS SIRUSLY)
So when I got into type o negative this year I had a thought " if peter had a daughter. What would look she look like?" And so I started brain storming and I ended up with a 17 year old teenage girl in 2003.
Some info: Ophelia since she was little lived with her mother Gabija Minkelyte but everyone calls her Gabb. Both her and her mother lived in Chicago at the same time her mother owned (and still owns) a small convenient store not too far from where they lived. Ophelia is an only child but she grew up in a neighborhood filled with kids around her age she even sometimes went to play basket ball with a group of 5 boys that were almost like her siblings. Ophelia plays guitar at first it was just for fun but after her childhood friend convinced her to form a small group at the age of 13. they just played songs together and sometimes even wrote songs but later on the group turned into a band and is pretty well know in the metal community. Ophelia is know to be a very creative person and also very kind it's just that she doesn't really look like one from the outside she also has a dark sense of humor.
She also has a pin bored & a Spotify playlist (I will add the links a bit later)
If you have any questions about her I will gladly answer them.

She is around 18 years of age and has recently moved to America from Norway with her mother. Her parents have recently divorced, and she is stuck living with her mother, with whom she doesn't get along. Her main instrument is the violin, but she does know a little bit about the guitar from her father. After she settled into her new school, she got along very well with Emily over there shred love of classical music and both started playing together after school hours.
Around the same time, Asta was in a band with her ex. It was mostly some from of rock/pop music and her ex was the front they broke up over a year ago, but her ex begged her to stay in the band. She agreed only because someone of her former friends played in the same band.
Asta's first interaction with Kiven was when she saw him holding hands with Emily as they were walking. Asta and Emily agreed to meet up at a Café to just chat, and she asked if she could bring another other person alone with which Asat agreed to. Asta's first impressions of Kevin were that he was just another awkward and interfering person who just so happened to be Emily's boyfriend. Kevin, on the other hand, thought she acted almost meanly in a way, but not insulting. After breaking the thick awkward wall between them, both of them actually found each other's company enjoyable.
Hunter and Asta, on the other hand, started off a bit rough. Asta mostly saw Hunter as a spolid bart and Hunter saw her as just the worst person he has ever had the time to talk with. But after realizing they had more things in common then they thought they started being friends and got close, very close but not to the point of dating somewhere in the middle (they have no idea what there doing lol). After some talking, Asta left her band and joined Skullflower (formerly known as skullfucker) as their Violinist.

Tbh it's wired that there aren't many metal lord's OC's. Like what do you mean you don't have an oc for it? Idk maybe there aren't a lot of people who have metal lord's oc or just prefer not to have one Wich valid.
But it would be cool if someone would just yap about there Metal Lord's oc. If you got one then feel free to re-blog this post and just yap about your metal lord's oc no pressure tho. Bc personally I have on my other blog ( @originalcharactersaddict ) and if you're interested please check it out and re-blog it.
