This is a RP blog for Red Skull / Johann Schmidt. 18 + the usual. 

No drama - which basically means unnecessary bullshit that doesn’t actually involve me.

I’ve been writing Red Skull on and off since early 2015. 

I take a fair amount of MCU influence with some 616.

This blog is primarily for me, a few friends, and others.

My activity here is . . . low. Very low. 

I currently do not have x-kit as I am using a Safari browser. When and if I decide to switch to another browser is debatable.

the   red   skull   was   a   complicated   creature.   what   he   wanted   and   what   he   required   were   not   the   same.   he   took   his   time,   he   didn’t   care   about   timelines;   he   knew   what   had   to   be   done   and   he   did   it.   surely   the   time   spent   apart   was   worth   while.   the   baron   was   here   now.   so   was   the   red   skull;   it   was   a   win   for   everything   and   everyone.

Obviously there could have been something said about the question in general, but Schmidt wasn’t going to address that. No, not while he believed that he had the upper hand in this situation.

Sucked a breath in and then out slowly, the Red Skull pushed a button on the Elevator to bring it to a stop. Doors locked; stuck in-between floors.

If the Spider-Man wanted a fight?

He’d bring it.

No backup required. 

“The Red Skull is appreciative, but that is unnecessary. The only one getting out now would be you.”

A bold move on his part, but one that he hoped would work in his favor. To be bold. To do something that one would think of as uncommon as the leader of HYDRA.

He’d strike first; with a fist aimed to slam right into Spider-Man’s chest with little warning.

“Better kill me quickly. It’s the only chance that you really have. The shield slinging Cap might have a problem with killing. I don’t.”  A smile came over Sergeant Barnes’s lips, as he looked at the man known as Red Skull, with a wink, his own way of screwing with Schmidt’s head. He was slowly picking the lock on his handcuffs that had restrained him to the pole in the room. He was going to do his best to keep Schmidt on edge, and focused on stroking his evil beard and maybe even gleaning some kind of information about his grand plan.

“Oh yeah, I know about your plans. I’m guessing they involve all of those bombs with that blue Asgardian shit inside of them. Viking stuff, I heard. Maybe some sort of attack on London, or Washington D.C. Or Berlin. I’m guessing you and Hitler aren’t exactly bosom, goose-steppin’ buddies anymore. Maybe you plan to just kill everyone, and rule over a kingdom of corpses. Because as long as there’s people in this world…someone will step up to oppose you, and mad men like you. If Captain America doesn’t finish the god damn job first.”

“The Red Skull has many plans, Mr Barnes. You may not have a problem with many things, but do remember that you’re not going to leave here alive.” Not if he had any say so about it. He was sure of that. The problem was that even he had been wrong at times.

“My plans involve many things, but Berlin is only a step on the map. My world? It will be one with no flags. Nothing to hold them back. One people under my control.” More or less. “Not corpses, but should they fight back against the might of HYDRA? Yes, I do believe there might just be.”

It was a worse case scenario, one that he didn’t want to ever take, and yet if there was no other option . . .  it would be taken. There was no doubt about that. It was only a matter of time as well as possibilities.

“if all goes well? Captain America will be dead and you will follow suit or it may even be in reverse.”

   “Obviously you’re the more sensible one. Rogers may be amusing, but you,” head tilts for a moment, “can be reasoned with.”

Closed Starter || what did it cost

I finally stop twirling my knife, shoving it down one of many pockets on my suit. I didn’t want to get him the satisfaction of knowing he has the upper hand, although, obviously he had. He was my boss, after all. Boss I have been following willingly. 

“I understand, sir.” I replied. I haven’t even asked if it had something to do with me, because if it did, he will tell me in short time I assume. I wouldn’t be summoned in the headquarters for nothing, now would I?  “I haven’t been waiting long, sir” I lied. Because I came earlier, the wait was long. Annoyingly long. However - that one’s on me. If I came at the exact time… I would only wait like ten minutes. 

Calling him sir was a artefact from an army. I was calling everyone ‘sir’ every time I have been addressing them. Well, not everyone, only people that mattered. “I assume there is a mission for me, sir.” I added.

At least there was some light amount of respect, something that Schmidt could appreciate. That Wade was willing to give it to him. A small amount here or even there was actually worth-while and had it’s own rewards.

“Of course you do.” It wasn’t that he had to reply to that, but respect ended up breeding far more respect. It was something that could no doubt be appreciated in this day and no doubt age.

“Now then,” he says, shifting subjects from the waiting time over to far more important matters. “It’s one of little importance to some, but massive to me.” Not Hydra, him; the Red Skull himself.

“What do you know of Arnim Zola?”

      “Flippy what now?”, Walker held back another laugh. He should be intimidated but somehow he saw nothing but a parody, a villain of the past, not capable of truthfully adapting to the modern era. “You know, what I think? You are all talking. How about you show me some action instead?”

     “Never mind.” No doubt Walker would never understand. Steve Rogers was a man of his time. The best that America had to offer, but mostly it was because of a series of events that allowed a Good man to get the serum. “It’s far too complicated for your mind to understand.”

      “And fight a second rate child who wields the title of Captain America?” It could actually be done. It wouldn’t take much to put the other in their place, but should he? That was truly up for debate.

     “I don’t know why I should.”

“Are you saying that I’m a racist, Schmidt?” He narrowed his eyes, his jaw tightening. “I’m the son of Romanian immigrants. The first of our family to be born in America, me and my sister. People who weren’t exactly welcomed with open arms, into the land of liberty. Me father even had to change our family name to something more Anglicanized, to avoid such things. Russians and Slavic Romanians don’t exactly fit into Hitler’s mold of a so-called master race.”

“Just because segregation was the order of the day during World War 2, and didn’t challenge authority for black Americans doesn’t mean I agreed with it. I think I got into enough trouble, punching my superior officers that I didn’t like in the jaw. I joined the Army to fight. Not spend the whole war in the stockade. At some point, you have to conform.”

He looked suprised, that Skull was surrendering. “You wouldn’t like the world of today. People like you are the great pariahs, of the human race. Doesn’t seem like you to give up on your grand vision, of a world without flags, or nations.”

“I’m saying not many would agree with such a thing.” America was a difficult subject and racism was inside every corner of the foundation. It was a fact. Nothing more and nothing less. “America may be the land of the free, but it’s not exactly that free.”

“Simply put,” he says sharply, “I don’t care who is Captain America. There can only ever be one Steve Rogers.” He was the only one that mattered in Schmidt‘s mind. He was the one who was the Captain America that was a true test of his ability.

There was doubt in his mind anyone else who took up the mantle would be close.

“HYDRA has never been one to conform. We . . . once were under their funding, but after a while . . . you can tell why there was distrust. When I evolved they didn’t like it - their vision didn’t fit in.” He couldn’t blame them, he was not exactly human anymore, but at the same time? The Red Skull needed no one.

“Flags, boarders, and nations are what make the world. I may not like them, many others don’t either, but one person can always tip the scale into creating something more.”

“I’m sure someone has tried to create a singular world without nations, flags, or borders.”
