I am working on several passion projects that I hope to eventually release as books! The main one being “Thieves of Draunids” which stars anthropomorphic animals in a world similar to our own where humans have gone extinct. I’m not gonna yap about it too much in this post though.

I recommend avoiding my account if you are under 16 due to violence and gore. I talk about, and deal with heavy topics that I do not expect people under 16 to be able to properly comprehend and understand.

I mainly post about my art and sometimes about things I write. Or sometimes I’m just being funky with friends and mutuals! I do occasionally post about paleontology, movies, and games.

Finished freebie for moro1337 on discord from the “Paw Cafe [Furry]” server! I absolutely love Gingers design, and really enjoyed making this.

On this piece I experimented with not only shading, but lineart aswell. Typically I make my lineart small, with alot of weight to it, this time I made it bold and in your face, I also let it be more free! Instead of focusing on having it all connect and be perfect I let the strokes flow until it looked right. Of course I did edit the lines in certain areas to look nicer, but overall I went free with it.

I also explored actually COLORING my lineart for lighting affects where it’d be most prominent or show through the fur, for the rest of it I stuck to my normal guns of texturing and coloring.

I am currently taking freebie requests, if you’d like a character drawn please put them in my asks and I’ll see about getting around to it!

Aadyas design is like, basically done atp, besides minor anatomy adjustments and making some areas clearer to understand

Except for one thing. Her wings. These things have been driving me NUTS.

I simplified them down literal months ago to just a basic frame to try to understand them better and now I just go into this canvas and just. Sit there. And stare at it. For hours.

I KNOW I want her to have wings, both Keres and Aadya need to resemble the basic dragon shape, while the demi-gods (explanation in a later post) resemble the Lung dragons more and lack their wings. Thing is, I dont know how to fix the wing shapes. I want them based off iris flowers (which is a symbol of royalty, religion, power, life, etc) because I love myself symbolism, but my golly how do you translate iris flowers onto a dragon wing

Been forever since I posted anything art… or Draunids related on this account… especially since its art centered… so uhhhh- scrapped and/or reworked/in the process of being reworked animals of Draunids!

I apologize for the flash bangs on many of these, I often forget to color my canvases.

This one was an early plains predator design, however I decided to cut it from the roster due to there being too many predators (Viesura, Dracocrista, Zanapiraptor, and Raseks. Plus remaining “feral” versions of now anthropomorphized animals.) Its ecological niche is now filled by Dracocrista which dominates the forests and plains.

I scrapped these because I was thinking up dog-like animals for Draunids as I wanted a loyal canine companion for the characters, however due to them being TOO dog-like they were scrapped and have now been replaced with Zanapiraptors and the smaller variants of Pangers. I still really like the designs, but they’re basically dogs with extra steps and it didnt fit into Draunids fantasy-species ideas.

Didnt like the design. It was gonna be some sort of prey lizard. I really hated it though.

I actually REALLY liked this design however something about it wasnt sitting right with me. It was meant to be a herbivorous drake that would be a mount (now replaced with the Ligi). I’m planning to still reuse some of its design ideas in later species though!

This was actually considered canon and done at one point, however due to its head resembling ceratopsians in a way I really did not like I’m going to end up redoing it with a more goat-like body plan. Buccina was never supposed to resemble ceratopsians like this, however due to me not knowing how to connect a ceratopsian frill to a fantasy head, it ended up being a woolly ceratopsian. Which is not at all what I wanted.

Didnt pass the vibe check.

Too dangerous, anatomy wasnt working out, generally would be a pain in the ass to live with. Might reuse it in another series where it wouldn’t be absolutely devastating and cause too many problems.

Old Viesura design! It was considered canon for a short time and posted as a reference to them, however I was never happy with them and it didn’t look menacing enough. It felt too much like a griffin/hypogryph so I reworked it and ended up with the modern design which I adore now.

Not scrapped… but I just generally want to redesign it because it was based around Austroraptor and we already have Zanapiraptor and Dracocrista so I dont want to add another dromeosaurid to the roster. It’ll become some sort of prey animal later on.

Thats it, for now. I’ll possibly update this list if designs ever survive my purges.

I FOUND MORE IN MY IBIS PAINT!

Dont know what I called this one, was the first design for the Ligi. As you can tell, I basically dumped this whole idea.

Idea was dumped due to it resembling dinosaurs in a way I didnt like, and the fact a saddle would never work on the design.

I dunno why I scrapped this one honestly. I liked it alot. Ig it just never caught on.

Lumpinas, not scrapped, but under reconstruction due to their designs being too boring. I really like their sexual dimorphism but other than that this is a pass for me. I’ll return to it some day considering they’re Zanapiraptors main food source. I’ll probably change the name though. I hate the name Lumpina. I use “-ina” too much when naming things on the spot.
