Welcome to Orko Where He Shouldn't Be!
Here I take Orko from He-Man and put him in places or situations you wouldn't expect to see him in! (Plus some general silliness for special occasions.)
I've got some tips to remember under the readmore, mostly concerning requests. Other than that, have fun and enjoy!
A new Orko post goes up every day at noon CST/CDT!
If you have a request for a place you'd like to see Orko go, send me a request!
I try to post each request the day after they're sent. For example, if you sent me a request on Friday, I'd try to get it done and in the queue so it posts on Saturday at noon.
Sometimes I can't get to a request right away - life happens! If a couple of days have gone by and I haven't posted your request yet, I haven't forgotten about it, I'm probably just busy.
If you have an idea in mind when you make a request, let me know! If you just say "orko at six flags", I'll use my own creative interpretation, but if you say "orko at six flags riding the kingda ka" I'll do that instead! You can also send me an image and I'll put Orko in there!
Orko can go anywhere, as long as it's a visual medium. He's shown up in real life places, video games, manga covers, and anime so far! Obviously I will not post Orko anywhere explicit, and I don't want to put Orko in an image that would dox someone else, but it's fair game other than that!
If, for whatever reason, I can't do a request, I'll say that I can't. I haven't had that happen yet, so we'll figure out what I'll do instead if/when that happens. I reserve the right to refuse to do a request if I don't feel like it's appropriate.
If you ask for a request I've already done, I'll just link to the post where I did it! If you ask for a request I've already done but in a different place, I'll probably do it! For example, I've already done Orko in Undertale, so if you just asked me to put Orko in Undertale I'd just link to the old post. But if you asked me to put Orko in the Temmie Shop in Undertale, I could do that, since I haven't specifically put him there yet!
If you see me accidentally reblog something here that's not an Orko post, my apologies. I spend a lot of my Tumblr time on desktop these days and the new reblog system has me *frequently* accidentally reblogging posts to this blog instead of my main blog. I delete them pretty much immediately, but I realize some people might have post notifications turned on and I'm sorry if that bugs you.
I actually don't know that much about He-Man - this blog started as a joke between me and some friends. I think it adds to the humor that I don't know much about Orko and am just kind of Walter-White-ing him. Plus I like finding out Orko Facts through y'all's comments. :)
Along the same lines - sometimes I'll get a request for a media I've never heard of, or haven't interacted with in awhile. If I mess up and give a character the wrong name, let me know! I won't get mad about it! I'd rather have a post with the right names, y'know?
I try to include an ID and an ALT text on every post with an image. I've started just typing the ID while the media loads and then copy-pasting that into the ALT text, but my methods may change in the future. Visually-impaired people, feel free to weigh in with what works better!
A media's presence on this blog is not inherently an endorsement or recommendation of its content. I put Orko in places I remember for whatever reason - sometimes that's games like Nekopara, or anime like Heaven's Lost Property. If I put Orko in something problematic I'm not doing it as a "you should check this out" way, it's usually more of a "hey I remember this, I could put Orko there" way. (I usually ramble about my feelings on these media in the notes so you can see what I actually like and endorse.)
If there's anything you think I could be doing better with this blog, you can tell me, but be nice, please.
For Orko Edits, I use Pixlr Editor. I just thought it might be neat to include that. I'm steadily building up a folder of Orkos to put into places, and most are ones I've clipped out of existing Orko images. The only exceptions are Kirinda-Ondo's original Orko art as seen in the header and icon, and Writeups.org's hi-res image of Orko. If you have an image of Orko you think I could use for edits, lemme know! I'd love to have more Orkos to work with! I'd prefer to have official art over fanart to avoid using someone's artwork in something they don't approve of, though.
