I’m really curious about your jury au. I thought the jury members were the vice-housewardens, but seeing as Cater is there while Jamil is not, I’m not too sure. Is it alright if you could elaborate on who is in the jury and who is playing the game? (Or I guess, is at risk of being punished?)
Also, you mentioned that this jury au is based of danganronpa, so I’m curious on how it starts. Is it like in danganronpa where the players get invited to the school (NRC?) and then they get trapped, or is it something else entirely?
Really sorry if I asked too much or you already explained some of these questions!! I just really like this au too, so I really want to know more!
Who the jury and suspects consist of:
the jury: trey, cater, jade, rook, ortho, and malleus
the suspects: every main character plus+ chenya
the council: the teachers + fellow honest
special ✨ extra: skully + rollo + neige + yuu & grim
ur right about the original idea kinda. it was all originally supposed to be the vice housewardens but it didn’t work out when it came to jamil and lilia…
I couldn’t see why Lilia would raise Silver and (kinda) malleus but then watch them partake in the games. So that’s why i kind of threw Lilia out of the question and though we haven’t seen him yet— i switched his placement for Malleus actually (he’s the “thorn”, “dragon”, “fairy” etc. that trey mentioned in this little comic i made).
And with jamil not being in the jury was that i initially couldn’t imagine a way he could be a part of it. And i just also wanted him to be able to talk with azul more and have a moment similar to his book 4 overblot 👀
so that’s why 🐍+🦇 aren’t apart of the jury
so every suspect has their own reasons for coming to sage island.
think of it as similar to squid game (expect they aren’t in dept… or at least most aren’t…) but instead they were seeker out by the council. The council did extensive research on the candidates, some easier than others.. and basically catered what they promised to each player to their own likens or desires.
some promises were stingier than others, some deeper, and some just stupid.
For an example: Ruggie was offered the chance to make a hefty amount of money (and he wanted to use it to help his <sick> grandma and the kids of his home town). his motivation for coming to the island seemed stingy but was actually wholesome. While Jamil on the other hand, he came because Kalim was coming. Which is a stupid reason to come without knowing farther context.
the council seeked out the suspects just like they had seeked out the jury. hm….

i feel like it’s a weird mix of danganronpa, squid game, and total drama.
