Watching episode 5 my beloved again, and I've gotten to the bit where Sherlock yells at his hallucinated Beatrice...something I think is interesting is that James does not look at the spot she was supposedly in, the spot Sherlock looked/yelled at, until Sherlock has turned his back. He gives Sherlock his full attention, doesn't let him see any skepticism, and only when Sherlock is getting up does he glance over at the chair to check if there's anything there. It just strikes me as something really kind that he doesn't have to do. Because Sherlock clearly wants to shake it off and not acknowledge it, and James lets him do that (in that moment).

the scene where moriarty makes his first kill... how dónal manages to make it look like he's having a panic attack while also having some kind of violent awakening is beyond me. absolutely nailed the 'oh god what have i done wait i kinda like it' expression. what a guy.

was rewatching Young Sherlock episode 1 and oh my god the way James is genuinely eyeing Sherlock down like he’s hunting him is insane. his eyes don’t leave Sherlock ONCE as he approaches him. not even introduced and he’s already plotting on this man.
