      Words would fail to describe the childish yet pure happiness that is currently enveloping her whole being into a warm, ethereal embrace at the sight of the snow - Everything has suddenly become so much more beautiful and it takes all her strength not to start throwing snowballs in all directions. There was a smile on the Prince’s features, one that rarely grace his face. Calum blinked his eyes softly as he took the black t-shirt handed by the elder male, nodding slowly. “Thanks.” He thanked the male in a low tune before putting it on swiftly since he was almost freezing to death while waking up to wearing nothing but his underwear. “I’ll just cover my lower part with your blanket, if you don’t mind.” However, he was clueless how he ended up being in the stranger’s place. Did something happen last night that led him to be at the male’s place?

‘By the way, who are you if I may ask? Why am I here? And frankly speaking, it’s indeed freezing but I think I’ll be doing fine.” Calum slowly nodded his head, gaze shifting towards the male’s face afterwards. “Did you perhaps kidnap me or something? You know that I can call the police, right?” He tried to threaten the male since he thought he was some kind of weird stranger—- but the fact was, Calum was feeling nothing but scared and wished he could leave the place as soon as possible. (maybe when the other male decided to sleep)

“That is quite alright. I apologize for not being able to provide you with any pants– I don’t believe you’ll fit mine.” The boy heaves a soft sigh, and he attempted to flash a smile at the other, despite the eerie eye colour of his must’ve distracted the stranger from his attempt to becoming less hostile– or so would people say. 

“I am Kai. You passed out in front of the building, and your clothes were soaked, so I had to... uh, um–” his cheeks were suddenly tinted with a hint of colour, grey eyes unwilling to meet the other’s warm ones. “I had to take your clothes off so that you wouldn’t catch a cold... A-And I really don’t mean to kidnap you, I just don’t want you to die from hypothermia, seeing that the weather is being so cruel lately...”

He knew that there are other entities that roam the earth’s surface, and he knew that even without the King’s arms around his frail body, he could survive well enough with these entities. Kai turned his head aside, a serene smile grazing his lips as he watches the awe in the Gumiho’s angelic features. The Prince’s pale gaze seems to have softened slightly as he kept the fox entertained with the snow he had summoned– he is always delighted whenever people praise his abilities, and the prince, despite being affiliated with a stone-cold heart, still possess the human penchant he used to have before he was struck with the mirror; in which he feels obliged to make his friend’s sour mood into a pleasant one.

“I—-” Calum was speechless. He didn’t know how to respond to the male’s question but he surely tried his best to break the ice. What should he do in order to keep the conversation going on? “Well,” he finally began to speak, clearing his throat a bit as he looked around the room with an awkward smile painted on his face.

“Do you perhaps have any shirt that I can borrow? Or maybe tank tops. Anything’s fine with me before we get to know each other more. Yes, this might be the weirdest conversation ever but I have a feeling that we might be close buddies soon.”  

Humans never cease their ridiculousness, but he supposes that is what makes them quite an enjoyable company– for they are quite able to make the Ice Prince’s lips curve up a gentle smile. The boy walked over to the wardrobe that seems to be too large to be occupying a space in his cramped, studio apartment, and he pulls out a plain black t-shirt, handing it to the other with a soft chuckle. 

“Do tell me if you feel cold– a plenty have told me that I might die from hypothermia with my love towards cold temperature.” Kai’s grey eyes might have showed some warmth to the other, but nevertheless, it still does eerily reminds people of a deathly snowstorm. “Please don’t go out yet, since I don’t think the storm will end soon...”

Kai couldn’t help but to agree upon his beloved King’s words, as he is now faced with yet another strange human with equally nonsensical words. The young boy simply glanced up from the book he has been reading, not even one out of forty-three muscle across his face moved. His silverish eyes seemingly bore into the other’s dark, playful ones, but the Ice Prince remained the same– stoic, unbothered and nonchalant.

Leaning back into the metal patio chair situated just outside of a cafe, Dorian kept his face neutral as he let his finger trace idly over the edge of the plate. The words spoken to him from the male a table over as he spoke to what he could assume was a friend, he felt a bit intrigued. Were there truly no good times? Maybe perhaps… lulls in the gaps and spaces in time where there was more bad than good, but he had seen enough and lived through more than enough to know that the peaks and the valleys came all the same, some just more than others. 

The eternally youthful male bit at his tongue, weighing his options before he turned slightly in his seat. Dorian was polite, raised in a day and time where one simply did not just butt into conversations without good cause. “Excuse me…” This seemed to be a good enough cause. “I hate to intrude… and you may take my words as a grain of salt, but perhaps… you’re looking at things in general the wrong way. Or perhaps pessimism is what suits you best?” He leaves it open ended before he leans back, fingers grasping at his fork once more to take a bite of his food.

It took the Ice Prince a while before he turned his head to the other, soulless eyes staring unemotionally at the other; not even a hint of annoyance was seen across his features. He was quite astonished at the other’s words, as his words completely contradict whatever his beloved King has taught him about the world. Surely, the King couldn’t have deliberately led him to the wrong path– or had he? 

He wasn’t talking to anyone in particular, more like keeping himself sane with what he had believed in, so when a complete stranger came upon him with a completely different ideology, he couldn’t help but feel slightly disoriented, despite the lost prince doesn’t really know what he should do with it. “Dear stranger, whatever do you mean by ‘looking at the wrong way?’” Pale eyes are now staring curiously at the other, but his muscle did not move an inch. “I was taught to perceive the world without any kind of glassess– and I saw nothing but human's evil deeds."

The young boy’s pale, ashen eyes stare in an impassive manner at the other. There was a faint moment of reminiscence as he set that nearly colourless gaze at the other, but of course– a spell had prevented him from remembering the other fully. Instead, a memory of the Ice King’s husky voice immediately resurfaced to the top of his head, and the Ice Prince’s thick, pink lips mumbled the very same words the King had told him;

“Nothing in this world is sincere." 

He glanced over to the overly bright screen, the one that’s placed so highly, so that it could grab anyone’s attention in order to make everyone knew that there’s another person in the other part of the world, the one that wears a clean, crisp suit to the deep, slum areas of a troubled country, acting as if they care about those who live far below the poverty line. The prince’s stoic features remained unchanged; nonchalant to the scene unfolding before his eyes.
