Lying scumbags. All of them. Blatantly.
Stole this from a friend with permission
Evangelicals will shoehorn any corrupt, amoral asshole into their political machine as long as they deliver on shameless power.
Yes, I've posted this before. It is super-relevant now.
If you are able to become pregnant, YOU HAVE NO SAY over what happens if you do. You have no right to make your own decisions about your own life and your own body.
YOU HAVE LESS BODILY AUTONOMY THAN A CORPSE.
Think about that.
👏 👏 👏 👏 👏
A development of Evangeline Reynold. I know, I know she looks a little like St. Mary, that's totally accidental!
I can’t draw hands. They look like shrek hands. More practice is needed urgently.
A development from the initial sketches posted earlier.
Trying to imitate ‘The dead tsarina and the seven knights’ though the personification of the wind, sun and moon. I am still unsure on how this will be developed, but I like the idea of primordial beings.
Thus far I have decided to eliminate the characters from the last drawing, but otherwise I feel that I am steadily getting there.
Concept and edits.
I am unsure of which version would be best. However, this piece most clearly depicts the aesthetic that I am trying to develop.
Very simplistic concept illustrations. I am terrible with colour, so this exercise really assisted me when approaching the design of environments. I created multiple colour palettes, dominated predominantly with browns and greens. I hoped to achieve a dated look with the addition of the noise filter over the work, this more closely resembles the art in my old Russian storybooks!
I won’t reveal much about him, but as you can tell, he’s a mischievous character.
I believe this was my favorite character to work on, he helped me establish a style that I enjoyed - but there is much work to be done.
Darius development and initial sketch.
Darius: A hunts man and carpenter who adores his wife and family. He is very conservative but has a good heart and chose to ignore his wife's lineage, seeing the best in her. As a result of their marrige, the two moved to the deeper parts of the woods. The intention was to mimic the bogatyr (knights) who were impressively strong and skilled, very masculine men with a deep sense of honor.
Some very sloppy sketches...
Developing the character Evangeline for an original story that I’m in the process of editing.
Character:
Evangeline Renolds is a young woman from a line of healers and priestesses, all of whom possess impressive gifts of prophecy, knowledge and other such supernatural abilities. Evangeline however feels inadequate, while she is skilled with herbs, she has very little magickal ability. The intention was to illustrate Evangeline as an innocent, charming young woman. However some elements of her design must suggest that she does not adhere to some important social constructs of her village (keep in mind the setting is a fictional location ).
Experimental/ early stage mock up’s of what’s to come. I’m struggling with drawing interior, seems it’s back to the drawing board for me.
Working with lighting and aesthetic, can’t quite get it right yet.
Some progress sketches and a finished edit. While I am trying to invoke a magical, dark atmosphere, I am still adpating and developing my visual language.
