He could have laughed. Why should she stay? Why shouldn’t she. She was fishing for any type of excuse but if one existed she’d have already left. And if she’d overlooked one, Remy was sure as hell not about to give her it. He caressed the side of her face with the back of his hand, grinning as he did so. “I could tell ya all sorts a reasons t’ why you aught’a stay.” He tucked her hair behind her ears, still smiling like he new something she didn’t. 

“Trut’ be told, mon chanteur,” He began, leaning in as if he was about to tell her a secret. “You wanna stay, ain’t d’at reason ‘nuff?” He kissed her cheek gently. “You wanna be kissed.” He did the same to her other cheek. “You wanna be held. Close.” He brought her in and dipped her into a long drawn out kiss. “And you deserve to be kissed, often, and by someone who knows how.” 

How could she argue with that? Anna feels all her breath leave her and she’s convinced by the first sweet kiss to her cheek but she doesn’t tell him just yet. She’s still so unused to gentleness. To careful handling. Sometimes she thinks she’ll wake up back home, beneath her aunt’s boot being crushed into the dirt like it’s what she deserved. But instead she’s here, being held by a man who thought she was something to kiss so sweetly she was sure her teeth would rot out her mouth. It’s probably not the most romantic comparison, but she wasn’t great at romance. He had that covered, it seemed, talking about what she deserved.

She tilts her forehead to his, a vulnerability in her eyes like a dog that’s been kicked so many times it thought that was just its place. “Don’ say it if you don’ mean it,” she says quietly, but it’s like she expects him not to. Before he can respond though, she’s kissing him back. Trying to swallow his answer just in case it’s the wrong one. Her arm loops around his neck, fingers sinking into his hair and clutching it tight.

“Where do they go?” Star can’t imagine there’s other teaching jobs available out there considering how cruel the world treated mutants. He supposes it wasn’t really any of his business in the end. These attackers did seem to have a bit more weight to ‘em, but that made it more exciting. He’s kicking another one of them with his foot, while his blades stab them in the chest. His body ducking to avoid a punch aimed in his direction from behind. He takes care of both of them, and then ends up back against Anna’s. “When do I start?”

“Oh ya know... Find it ain’t a good fit. Fall through a hole ‘tween dimensions,” she says that last bit like it’s normal but around here it kind of was. Then she thinks of the ones they lost, not to any inter-dimensional or time travel. The ones they really lost. “Some die.” She grabs two of their attackers by their faces and slams them into the ground, letting her powers do the work til they crumble to dust. She brushes her hands off, “Ah figured ya could start right now. Classes ain’t for another few days but... What’s a lil practice, right?”

Star can work well with others if given the chance too, which is always interesting to combine fighting styles. He grins seeing more bodies appearing around them, deciding that THIS WOULD BE FUN. “Where did they all go?” He asks as his blade slices into one of the thighs of the simulations. He slides behind them to stir his other set of blades into their back as they were distracted. “You know what? I would love to help you.”

Anna chuckles, back bending to dodge a hit before she’s throwing her weight into a punch that sends one of their ‘attackers’ into a wall, crumbling to dust. “Ya’d be surprised at th’ turnover rate in a place like this,” she says wryly before grabbing another assailant and flying high with them before tossing them back down to the ground. The setting she’d chose gave the simulations more weight, something they could grapple with. Being a brawler, it’s what she preferred. As she lands back down behind Star, back to back, she nods. “Glad ta hear it.”

Star was always proud of his footwork, able to push his body to extraordinary limits. Battle had always been something he was good at, knowledgable about various fighting styles. You have to keep it interesting while making sure that you’ll get the kill every time. While his methods were usually lethal, he could do it in a way it wouldn’t be. “What’s that? I’d like to hear this idea.” Star asks as he lowers the blades. 

Anna grins, increasing the amount of the army he’d easily decimated and pressing the slider controlling the difficulty level. But he wouldn’t be going it alone this time, she wanted to see how compatible they were. Jumping over the banister, she lands on her feet beside him in a crouch. As she straightens, she explains. “Ah’m short ‘bout a dozen teachers, ya see. How would ya like ta help me here? In th’ Danger Room?”

The blades ready to carve their way through any army that comes toward him.  His eyes watch as there was suddenly pairs of eyes staring at him. “You will die where you stand.” He says pouting toward them before he’s rushing at them head on. He ducks below a punch sent his way, and slices one of the holograms in half. He’s disappointed by the lack of bloodshed, but it’s still satisfying. He pushes off of the ground, and stabs another through the head, and pushes off of them to continue on that way.

Usually Anna felt compelled to assist when she watched someone fighting the simulations, but instead she hangs back. He’s amazing, his footwork especially was something to write home about. She didn’t feel the need to help him at all, in fact she felt she’d only get in the way. But that gave her an idea, with their shortage of teachers between the dying and the running off with little redheaded girls... She could use someone to help her in the Danger Room. She waits until he’s decimated the army and flips the lights back on, already gearing up to provide him another simulation. “Hey... ah got an idea,” she shouts from her perch as she swipes away at her screen. “Wanna hear it?”

The grin that spreads over Star’s face is obvious as the four blades appear from underneath his white jacket, two on each arm. He hasn’t gotten to stab something in a while so this was exciting. “Give me an army to kill, that sounds like an excellent challenge!” He asks as he looks up at where Anna had gone.

Anna nods, mouth shut and upturned. “Ah like ya style, darlin’.” Nothing like a fight to make you feel good. She flips a few switches on the board before turning to her wristband, a holo-screen appearing as she flicks the surface. Quickly she set a few safety parameters, though she doesn’t think he needs any, it was more of an insurance so she kept her job should anything go awry. “Alright, now. Ya ready?” She doesn’t wait for his answer, closing out her screen. Once she does the room goes dark and several pairs of glowing red eyes seem to pepper the room.

Surprise!Sibling: Anna’s parents left her in the care of her abusive aunt on a commune, and she never heard from them again. She discovers someone already at the school or maybe a newcomer is actually her sibling (whether it be through photos or a Parent/Family Day held at the school) but they were actually raised by their parents instead of abandoned.

Drain(ed): By some mishap, Anna ends up draining the powers of your character entirely (yet temporarily). They have to figure out how to fix this, but also discover it’s created a psychic link between them.

What’s my age name again?: In the future Anna was killed by Sinister during the rescue efforts that recovered her children and the Grey-Summers children. A clone was made from her DNA and age progressed to use her mutation against mutants. Your character could also be in captivity or help her break out, etc. and maybe help her find her way back to her family.

The holidays didn’t really mean anything to Star. It wasn’t like he had a family after all, his own parents don’t know who he is here. He just decides not to celebrate with everyone else, and decided to explore the mansion instead of shopping or whatever people do this time of year. He was happy to get an answer of course. “Perfect, I would love to do some training. Does that mean I can stab things?”

Anna’s eyes widen at his question but then she lets out a sharp laugh. “Sure thing, sug’. Stab all ya want.” Her feet leave the ground and she flies to the ledge of the control room, one hand gripping the balcony and maneuvering herself over. Once there she switches on the screens and surveys the simulations. “What would ya say ya expertise level is then?”

“What’s the purpose of this?” Star asks as his gaze looks up at the other person who had walked into the room. He had a good understanding of the world, but there was still some things that surprise him. “Will you show me how it works?”

Classes were out today, with the holidays leaving the mansion mostly empty it didn’t make sense to hold them. But Anna still liked to visit the Danger Room, even if she didn’t have anyone to teach. It was mind numbing, as surviving tended to be with her lately. She didn’t have to think about the choices she was making or had yet to make. She could just be. So when she walks in, she’s a little disappointed to see someone else there. Until he asks. Smiling softly, she nods. “Sure thing, honey. It’s for trainin’.”

Her restrained and deliberate touch was maddening. Her lips, her fingertips never meeting with his skin long. Remy slipped his hands in at the hemming of her top and pressed them against her lower stomach, rapping his fingers around her sides. Her wanted her to feel how he felt; as if none of it was enough. He watched her bat her eyes as she teased about leaving. “It’s already dark.” He explained with a sly smile. “Better to stay till mornin’, no?”

Whether there was truth to what he’d said, Remy had no idea. It didn’t matter and it was obvious neither cared. What mattered was how she felt in the small glimpses he got between each cruel each layer of clothing. Remy’s hands glid over her skin to hold her from behind and pulled her into a passionate kiss. Her skirt bunched up between them. He grinned as he pulled it up further and to hold her by the waist.

Something sensible in Anna, a trait only recently gained in fact, told her to step away from this. This man was trouble and letting him in would only mean opening doors to her past that ought to remain shut. Doors that revealed her life as nothing more than a gutter rat. Farm trash. But then there's another voice inside of her. The one that tells her he'd never let her slip, never let her teeter off the pedestal he so clearly saw her on. Why was that? He barely knew her and yet she knew him. She knew what she'd mean to him one day, and that was odd and terrifying.

She gasps at his tight grasp, the way her skirt bunches between them and the cold air nips her thighs. She's prompted to spread them, and the feeling of the leather of his pants on her vulnerable skin makes her shudder. More, she wants more. So deprived of touch in recent years that this feels heavenly. "Ah..." she swallows hard, mouth glazing over his and she has to stop to kiss him some more. The tobacco taste lingering in his mouth now lingers in hers. She whines so quietly it nearly gets lost had they not been a breath apart. "Tell me why ah should stay," she isn't begging, she's bartering and she's alright with bartering.
