And the fandom also treats her only as a lesbian, fifteen years in this fandom and I have never seen a piece of media where she is referred to as bi

Unpopular Buffy opinion:

TV Buffy Summers does not have a single gay bone in her body.

The bi narrative this fandom strongly supports is forced. Girls' friendships can have a somewhat romantic or even sexual vibe. We get close like that. The similar dynamic exists in a whole lot of female friendships, but it doesn't make one bi. And even though in some of her other works, Sarah's characters are/seem bi, Buffy Summers is the straightest straight girl out there. I will die on this hill.
