1.  That’s not explained or referenced

2.  The wraiths by that time were on horseback, not on felbeasts, so there was no way they could’ve known that.

3.  We see the eagles fight the wraiths effectively one on one during the battle at the Black Gate.

They are absolutely a plot hole.  They needed to be explained away for a reason why they weren’t helping (and why they decided to help in the final battle) or they should’ve been excised completely and Gandalf needed to escape Saruman some other way.

The Eagles don’t like to get involved in the business of men. They only help out Gandalf from time to time because they owe him and they would not have helped him fly the One Ring to Mordor. The Eagles would be shot down by Sauron’s arrows and catapults before they could even get to the black gate. The Fellowship needed another way in.

What's the conclusion to people wanting Sekiro to be easy? Do all games now need different difficulty modes from story to really challenging to appeal to everyone? Like why just Sekiro? Literally all games need a easy mode if your stance is games need to appeal to everyone. So many wonderful story moments in games would be ruined if the challenge was easy to overcome. Imagine if you could just change the options and make Sans easy? Or so many jrpg bosses. or like all of Lisa the Painful.

All games need easy mode.  And then there are going to be disabled people who can’t play the easy mode.  So we need easy-easy mode.  And so on and so on.

Horror games can cause people with triggers, heart problems and blood pressure problems to have issues.  So horror games get “no horror mode”.

Games aren’t inclusive to all people who are blind, paralyzed from the neck down, etc.  So “Super-Easy-Mode” just plays the game for you.

To explain on this post, because I feel like people might not get it.

The answer is “there is no conclusion”. The position of “disabled people might find it hard so it needs an easy mode” is a position based on a subjective, arbitrary line drawn in the sand.  

If you lower the difficulty for someone who has compromised reflexes under the guise of “ableism”, then why are you drawing the line there?  Why not draw the line at people who can’t use their hands?  Why not people who are paralyzed from the neck down?  What about people who are blind?

Any line you draw saying “well that’s ridiculous” or “well maybe games aren’t for you” is now ableist because it’s the exact same argument used against people who have compromised reflexes.  So your principle MUST go to the extreme by the simple fact that your line is based on other people’s feelings.

My position is “adding easy mode for disabled people is patronizing” and so the line is absolutely static.  “No easy mode” and “disabled people should have hardware options”.

The end line for that position doesn’t impact the game’s difficulty.  It simply requires new companies to develop controllers for as many groups as possible. 

My position is also caveated with the “artistic vision” and “some games aren’t for everyone” additions.  This means that if a company can’t develop a controller for a specific issue, then maybe that person needs to find a different game to play.\

TLDR:

Having your position be based on the feelings of others means you no longer have control of your position and, therefore, must accept the most extreme position without question.  This is untenable.

I feel that the “Golden Age” of symphonic metal was around about 2004-2012; when it was at its commerical (and critical) peak. Considering that what I like to call the “Holy Trinity of symphonic metal”: Nightwish, Within Temptation and Epica, all released some of their most successful albums during this period (Once, The Silent Force, The Divine Conspiracy, etc.), and the “boost”, if you will, from female-fronted hard rock’s resurgence in the early 2000s, it brought a lot of interest to the genre, and influenced a slew of new bands in their wake. It’s a shame that the genre stagnated a bit when the interest waned, since a lot of current bands seem “afraid” to experiment with their sound, or all sound like NW expys, frankly.

Here’s hoping for a “Platinum Age” at some point soon, though!

Never have I walked into a game store and not been opened with welcome arms to a table. Maybe it’s just my area and the people in it (which is strange since I’ve been to different states and places and always seek out card and game shops and had the same effect) but nerds are so desperate for more and new players that they will take anyone willing to learn. 

Women don’t want to go into game shops because they don’t want to be seen as nerdy. Some of my own friends from highschool won’t go into the super marketed super main stream shop in the local mall that sells more movie merch than they do comics because ‘eh it’s weird’. 

Women are welcome in these places, many just don’t have the interest in it and that’s okay. A lack of women doesn’t always mean they are bared.
