⬠The Planets ā¬
Everything begins with energy.
Energy unlike anything else in the world. Beyond any fuel or feeling or movement. Pure, incomparable- magic. With enough force and enough magic caught within it, anything can be born.
And as if with the snap of fingers, life.
⬠Welcome to My Universe! ā¬
This is a blog for my beloved cinematic universe, my darlings my loves- my planets. For somewhere abouts a decade now, I've been building up a large, interconnected universe built off of an original magic system inspired by the likes of Dungeons & Dragons and The Elder Scrolls. These are part of my heart and soul and I'm excited to slowly seed them into the world.
For ease of access, here are the main tags for this blog too, with details on the Planets further below:
#alaart : For all art about my Planets, including the two DnD based ones.
#theplanets : Specifically for posts, art or otherwise, relating to my wholly original worlds.
#tel : For posts relating to Telā Shoāvoth, one of my two DnD based worlds.
#othello : For posts relating to Othello, my other DnD based world.
A Note: There is very likely going to be fanart for Legends of Avantris and The Adventure Zone : Balance here, so you can search related tags of those fandoms to see what I've posted here.
Who are they?
I have five overall planets, three in my own wholly original universe and two based in D&D 5e rules.
Eorde : Ee-ord. My oldest planet, built by and looked after by seven deities. Life flourishes here, built from the ground up by curiosity, creativity, diversity, and kindness.
Tirideau : Teer-rih-doh. Younger sister to Eorde. A planet created by one of Eorde's deities then accidentally lost to space. It survived and developed unsupervised, left to grow wild and dangerous. Its people are of the earth, beastial or plant-like, and have fought long and hard to earn a place on the treacherous surface.
Unnamed : A newer addition, a planet whose people saw their deities as pests, vermin to be killed. The death of these deities, though, has had a ripple effect on the magic that breathes life into the world. In a misguided effort to protect their planet, the people of this doomed place are suffocating it.
Tel' Shoāvoth : One of my D&D Planets and the setting of the first campaign I ever ran. An ancient place with eons of history, watched over by a single deity who sees the rise and fall of every era. In the campaign. a powerful and foreign Fey has fallen onto the planet and is slowly eating it alive.
Othello : My secondary D&D planet and the planned setting for a future campaign. A large modern steampunk world of five continents with a Feywild the size of the entire surface, displaced from reality. Occupying the same space, but a different time. The gods of this world, totalling 25, have found themselves embroiled in a celestial civil war, causing the death of two gods already and the disruption of life across the whole of the planet.
My Passion and Pride!
I have loved fantasy all of my life and have a deep-seated passion for diversifying the fantasy genre. My worlds all have a heavy focus on queer and non-white culture and seek to tell stories that break away from the tired old fantasy tropes of 'humans are in charge' and 'every race is always at war' and 'the gods are evil and cruel'.
Those stories have been told plenty. Here, I want to explore the much vaster story potentials of the genre and write a whole bunch of queer not white characters experiencing them :D
