scene breakdown of azula in the spirit temple

this scene is really , really disturbing & sad in like , 50 different angles

1> we can see Sozin and Azulon being , well , ' normal grandparents ' . Azulon who was never really kind to Azula ' s family .

2> we can also see IROH in the midst of Azula ' s happy dream , which shows she DID care about Iroh unlike what she said about ' uncle fatso ' , etc .

3> and yes , while Azula knows her parents were dysfunctional , in her dream Urzai is very much real ( and happy ) .

4> like , the worst bit about this entire affair is because Zuko ' s face isn't burned into a crisp on one side . so , while Azula has always said stuff about Zuko deserving his banishment to some extent , deep down she knows it ' s wrong & she wants her brother to be ... whole ? happy ?

5 > another factor I noted is that Zuko ' s hair is done in the traditional updo of a fire nation prince , before he was banished . in Azula ' s happy dream , the banishment probably never took place , her parents are together ( ' together ' together while she already is aware her mother is remarried ) , her uncle is fond of her .

I ' m a Zuko fan but this really made me cry .

ethiopian king memnon does not appear fully on screen in the illiad but his appearance is prominent in the full epic ; also a son of a goddess , he dies fighting achilles , was one of the few to make him bleed , was one of the few to give him any sort of shock . after his death his mother was most distraught alongside his siblings , and he was sent to illisium as a result of his princely behavior .

there is a certain aspect of tragedy when you develop a character by yourself ; it stops being interesting after some point so you draw in help from others . GoT was one of my top inspirations for this lady ; she's not BAMF but she'll sort of do for now . and yes , i love lyanna stark more than i should .
