William: He’d wandered away from me while we were out in the city, and I only found him because he and a food stall owner began shouting at each other. Dorey was trying, and miserably failing, to haggle even though he still struggled with our accent at the time. Eventually, he stole a baked potato while distracting the shopkeep then stormed off. When I collected him, he broke the potato in half, and offered me the smaller piece with an impish little grin on his face.
Harrison: We were on a mission with Liam, and the two of them ran off to handle the targets that escaped while I poked around their hideout. I didn’t notice that one of them was still in the building, and he put a gun to my head. I was talking the guy down when Theodore shot his finger off. Then he put a bullet in his head. Never seen anyone who shoots like him, and the memory still gives me chills.
Liam: Oh, I know! I was showing Dorey around London after rehearsal one day, and we headed up to the rooftops. There was a bin full of laundry underneath one of the houses, and my curiosity started leading me to it. Before I could jump in, Dorey grabbed me and jumped off first! When I asked him why he did that, he said, “I saw that there twinkle in yer eye, and I thought to myself, ‘He’d have more fun if I caught him by surprise, right?’” That’s just how he is.
Elbert: Like Ellis, he tries to help me find what I’m searching for. He started shortly after we met. Once, he took me outside the castle to see a building he found beautiful, and the people nearby started to surround us. He began to scare them away when they began to touch me.
Alfons: Well, I happened to discover a rather adorable secret of his, though I’m sure he hasn’t noticed yet. It was during a mission where he and I had to investigate a basement we suspected to be a smuggler’s den. It’s a most amusing piece of ammunition I intend to fire at only the most opportune moment.
Roger: When he first got here, Toto would come with him everywhere since the little guy was anxious about being left alone in the first few weeks. We were at my favorite bar, and I was letting him try the local brew when he started saying it was too weak compared to what he was used to. We ended up in a drinking contest, and we both had so much that by the end of it, Dorey passed out. When I started trying to haul him out Toto helped me by dragging Dorey around by the collar. He’s such a good boy!
Jude: The second he started respectin’ the 10 Word Rule. Actually, no. Let’s go with when Ellis got him to play the “Quiet Game.” Bugger only lasts a minute at a time, but it’s better than nothin'.
Ellis: One day Dorey was feeling a bit homesick, so I took him to the countryside since I had the day off. We went to meet some horses, and when Dorey and Toto started playing with them he seemed so at home. It wasn’t the happiest moment of his life, but he said it was the happiest he’s been since coming to England.
Victor: Oh, you want me to pick only one? Hmm… Well, he's particularly fond of my magic tricks, especially when they don't turn out how I planned. Several times I accidentally released a dove instead of landing my trick, so now Dorey thinks I hide a bundle of eggs in my coat. I've started leaving tiny toy eggs for him around the castle, and he always brings them to me once he's found them. One day he spent all morning organizing a bushel of them into a basket for me!
Beryl: I was Dorey’s designated Keeper for the day. I was quite busy seeing to my business, so I took him with me to one of my taverns in the East End. He was predictably flustered when my girls greeted him, but he was a gentleman to them regardless. Even when they informed him they weren't “ladies” he told them, “My ma taught me that any woman should be treated like a lady, no matter what she does for work.” He's become quite popular since then.
