Finding a handsome stranger in a strange suit passing out on your way home from work is certainly not on your to-do list. But your kind heart cannot bear leaving them there, especially since they look so beaten up and pitiful.
You also do not expect the stranger to act this... strange, literally. And what is it about their blue eyes that makes you feel so uneasy? You just hope at least they are not someone dangerous to you.

Note:
I debated myself on whether or not I should work on this but like, ehhh I might need this. It's an AU so don't expect XavMC's long ass lore and multiple lifetimes here. AFAB reader self-insert using 2nd person POV / using "you" to refer to reader. Xavier will be given a lot of exaggerated alien traits because that's the first purpose of this fic - alienmaxxing him, and his race will be written as a human-looking alien race, no time travel involved here.
I'll try to update as often as I can but I lose motivation easily bc I'm depressed and stressed and swamped with work and study. So uhh some words of encouragement might be helpful hehe thanks in advance if you decide to interact with me above giving kudos.
Chapter 1's note:
Hi, the first chap is here. I'm using they/them for Xavier a lot at first bc technically you aren't supposed to know who or even what he is lol
Have fun reading!

fallen from the sky, crash-landing in your arms
Thunder is roaring in the distance when you finish your work and head home. It is going to rain soon, and you do not want to get caught in the downpour.
It will take you a bit to head to the bus stop, and then some more walking to the metro. You unfortunately did not bring an umbrella when you left for work this morning because you did not see how dark the sky was.
It did not rain the whole day.
However, the sky is looking much darker now, and there is thunder rumbling.
The trip to the bus, and then to the metro, is as smooth as it can be. There are fewer people on the street than expected, and you managed to claim a seat both times.
After getting out of the underground, there is just a short walk back to your flat. And you really, really hope it won't rain.
.
.
.
It is already raining when you get out of the underground.
Cursing a little, you sprint home. At least, it is just big occasional droplets falling from the sky and not a full downpour yet.
It should be a smooth run home. It really should be.
But as you make your way past an abandoned garden in a particularly remote part of your neighbourhood, you trip over something and almost hit your face on the pavement.
You rub your knees, cursing the fall and thanking whatever deity out there is looking out for you at the last second that has blessed your pants not to be ripped on the hard concrete.
It still hurts like hell, though.
But it is nothing compared to the sheer fear you get hit with once you see what was in your way. It's a…
"HAND?!!"
You almost scream, scrambling to your feet as your heart hammers in your ribcage. The hand is pale, but not deathly pale, which helps you calm down a little.
Trying your best to ignore the rain, you poke at the hand. Nothing.
You wonder if you should find out who the owner of the hand is. At least, if you call for help, you will know what to mention.
The abandoned garden has a gate which has been in this rusty state for years. You keep seeing kids and teens sneaking in, so there must be a way to open it. Putting your bag under a big tree with thick leaves to keep it dry, you look at the gate's padlock.
The lock is barely hanging on, clearly has been smashed too many times, and no one ever cares enough to replace it. So you remove the lock and open the gate to peer inside carefully.
You were preparing to see maybe some blood or a badly injured person. Maybe weapons and tattered clothes, even.
But, beside the junk and messes left by those kids and cheeky teens, there is just one man ̣or at least they look like a man) dressed in strange clothes, lying out cold on the dirty, overgrown grass.
"Hey!" You call out. No response. "You! Are you uh… alive?"
You really don't know what to say, and that word just spring into your brain. You want to smack yourself. 'Alive'? That's so damn stupid.
There is no response from the seemingly unconscious man, however. You creep closer, picking up a broken broom on the ground to poke them, trying to see if they will react to it.
Nothing.
Feeling bold (and the rain is starting to get a little heavier, so you want to get this over with quickly), you approach the still form of this strange person.
As you get closer, you can see their dirty, matted hair (it looks silver-ish, but you really cannot tell from the amount of dirt, and is that blood…?) and pale face. Again, not deathly pale, just green-ish.
You use the broom to poke their handsome face-- Wait…
Handsome?
You shake your head to get rid of the lurking thought.
They might be very dangerous.
But before you can reassess the situation and this person's injuries, the rain suddenly becomes heavier, pouring water down from the dark sky above.
You crouch down to check their breathing.
Alive.
You cannot just leave a living, but injured and unconscious person here in the rain. Your conscience will not let you.
Deciding this person is too weak to do anything if they even wake up, you grab them and your bag and try as hard as possible to bring this person back to your flat building.
Luckily, it is only about 20 meters away, and you lunge the person into the lift with you, hitting the button to go to the top floor.
Now that you can calmly check him over, you make some mental notes of his appearance.
The weird clothes they are wearing are… not exactly clothes. Upon closer inspection and some touching, you can tell it's made of some sort of metal, nylon, and spandex, even. It resembles spacesuits a little, but not as clunky.
His breathing is shallow, but enough for you to tell they are not dying. You cannot remove the suit to check if they have any other injuries, so you can only see a small gash on their hairline, which has stopped bleeding, alongside some bruises.
You sure hope they are not injured much beyond this. You don't want this man to die in your flat before you can throw this responsibility to a hospital or some other authorities.
But heaven helps if you have to call the police…
You rub the bridge of your nose from just thinking about it. You don't like them, which is why you are risking taking this person home in the first place.
When the rain stops, you are taking them to the hospital right away.
The lift's door opens, and you drag the unconscious person to your door, opening it and dumping them in the living room before coming back to the lift to take your bag, which was preventing the lift's door from closing.
Everything is strangely silent, except for the rain, which keeps pouring down more and more heavily as time passes.
You wash your face and hands, then come back to that person, who is lying still on the floor of your living room.
There has to be a way to get them out of this suit. But also, you need to prepare in case this turns out to be a dangerous creep.
You come into the kitchen and take a knife and the pestle to keep them near yourself. Then, you change into longer clothes with a denim jacket before heading back to your living room.
Letting out a sigh as you see the weird suit, you sit down to figure it out. You don't really want to remove the suit, no, what if it is wired to a bomb or… something?
You just want to peek in and see if they are any further injured. Then you'll try to wake them up, maybe.
After five minutes, you manage to loosen the neck of the space-ish suit. The person's skin is cool, almost cold, and does not look healthy at all. You put a rubber glove on, the one you wear to wash dishes, and slide your hand into the suit from their neck down.
They seem to be wearing a thin layer of normal clothes (made of fabric), and hm… heartbeat is a bit weird. It's slow, but also…
"What are you doing?" A rough, male voice startles you, and you yelp, pulling your hand back, landing on your ass.
Tired blue eyes stare back at you, and you feel frozen in place before snapping back to reality and remembering that you have a knife AND a pestle.
You scramble to pick the knife up and point it at them.
They just stare at it, almost bored.
"Who are you?" You ask.
They stare. Their blue eyes are a bit too bright, to the point of looking unsettling. Uncanny, even.
They look like one of those weird dolls, with such a cute face but unnerving eyes.
You stare back.
"Again, who are you?" You raise the knife a little bit higher.
They only look down at their space-ish suit, wordlessly hitting a few buttons before swaying and promptly passing out again.
You stare at their still body, then flinch back when the suit hisses softly and slowly opens, revealing their upper body, which is wearing some thin, protective black shirt underneath.
Not wanting to be tricked, you poke the stranger's face, holding the knife to their neck as you do so. They don't even stir.
Having deemed them as unconscious again, you put the knife down and carefully peel the suit off them. Might as well check if they have any weapons, you tell yourself. That will certainly be safer than leaving them in this weird suit, right?
With that thought in mind, you get to work.
