here’s the thing: adults? he genuinely thinks, for the most part, can handle themselves. he knows what they’re after — fame, money, fortune, bigger ego’s. whatever it is or a combination of all the things. kids? they’re driven by their own wants and feelings. they don’t tend to think about the long run, they don’t think about ten years from now, why are they still doing what they’re doing? he wants to be a mentor, he wants to steer them away from the people who would take advantage of their talent in the name of money or whatever. he wants to be the person for a new, bright eyed kid in the industry, the kind of person he never had looking over his shoulder.
