My mom thinks she is so slick about hiding her being high but today she has:

Spilled yogurt on her bed

Kicked over her trash and knocked everything of her counter in the bathroom

Fallen asleep every time I try to speak to her

Almost dropped her glass cup full of water because she was falling asleep

Dropped god-knows-what in the kitchen (she never answered me what it was but I was afraid it was herself falling to the ground so I didn’t push it)

Was standing with her eyes rolled back, totally out of it) in front of the sink in the bathroom for so long her cigarette burned out. Thankfully it over her sink and not the rug

Taken three shower (maybe two but her hair was wet before but I didn’t realize she was high yet so I wasn’t paying attention if she showered or what)

Laid and said she isn’t higher than a kite

Actually ate food (normally she ‘forgets’ to eat so this is a good thing, I guess)

Almost choked on her food so I thought I would have to Heimlich it out but thankfully it was fine

Despite never watching, I almost spoiled the haunting-of-hill-house-broken-neck-ghost twist by sitting on the couch with my siblings watching and when Nell walks up to the house I said ‘plot twist. She is the ghost she kepts seeing’ with no knowledge of the show

You know you are not doing well fighting allergies when half asleep when you try to say ‘Anaphylactic Shock’ but somehow it comes out as ‘African Violet Assault’

I chose the name Basil when I came out as trans and when looking the name up I came across the movie The Great Mouse Detective. I never watched it before (my mother limited my exposure to media a lot) so I thought I’d watch it for the first time and write what I am feeling.

My thoughts so far, being on 6 minutes in, is that this movie is great and I love it.

The art style is beautiful, the zoom from human level to mouse level is done so well

There’s singing in this movie?

Oh shit he just killed that drunk mouse. That’s grim

Why does the bat have a pocket in his wing. It makes me very uncomfortable. It almost like body horror to me

That’s the cgi clock tower gear scene. I know this

All in all I liked the movie. It very much Sherlock Holmes as mice but it is beautifully done. And not as racist dated as I thought it would have been.

I’m glad I liked it or I would have had to change my name again

There are so many ants in my house.

kitchen sink? understandable, smells like food.

bathroom? not cool, but I guess soap smells good.

sidetable? idk why, not food or water there so maybe chill out.

In the shower in my back scrubber?! No, now that is too far. They walk in it and die. Then more come and die. No thank you, please leave.

Got summoned for jury duty on my birth month. Yay

Got the test results back, not covid. Just a coughing bug with a super high fever.

I heard a knock on my door so obviously I opened it. But to my surprise, it was Chinese food.

I was surprised mainly for the fact I didn’t order food nor did anyone in my family.

I don’t know what to do. I don’t see a phone number on the receipt stapled to the bag. Nor do I know who ‘lindsay’ is to give it to her.

So I just left it outside so the delivery guy can just pick it back up if he comes back.

Opened it, it is actually Tai food.
