Day 30, Sorry I took this long to write day 30. I went tree climbing in the garden and then I performed a stupa move (thats what I call a silly thin to do). I bet you can guess wich picture I'm talking about! Leave your guess in the comments below.

Day 29: finally sorting out the bird feeders and hanging this new blue tit feeder.
We have actual wildlife in our wildlife garden! Very excited - never seen anything in this pond before. Setting the trail camera to see what else might visit us.
Day 27: Our elderflower cordial is DELISH! I am drinking it now with pleasure. 🐢🍠
Day 26 started with a foraging walk to gather elderflowers which have only just started to flower here in the far north. An hour and a half later, we were surprised how heavy a few flowers could be. They have steeped overnight and this morning (day 27) we have bottled cordial, we are chilling some syrup for sorbet and we still have some left for a bit of experimental elderflower champagne.
Today on this day I went climbing up a 30m high tree! I saw a spider when I was up there. As you can see, it was VERY high!
I was away for two nights at #fordcastle but late at 12:00 I HEARD a TAWNY OWL!

Late afternoon walk with the dogs by the river today and, if you look closely, you can see that the sky was full of may flies.

The Wildlife Trusts have recorded 1,000,000 random acts of wildness. Fred is featured in this article by @NorthWildlife.
While Fred is off on his own wild adventure with the school for three days, we found this cormorant splashing around in the River Coquet.

Day 21: I somehow managed to pick up a nettle leaf with my bare hands (Fred)
Last year we designed the wildlife garden, but this year we got a picture of a bee’s eye view in a foxglove!! We didn’t plant it, it just grew. True nature at work here!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Foxglove>Me.
Foxglove+bees=good. Foxglove+humans=DEATH!!!!!!!!
After Fred's post yesterday, I feel like I have had my own waterfall experience today. I set off for a walk with the dogs. The sun was shining and I was wondering whether I would be too hot in long sleeves. Ten minutes later this happened...soaked to the skin!
Day 19 started badly but got better. I had an ache and was healed by the wonderful god of ‘cliffs’!! I stood behind a waterfall and scamper (dog) was waiting impatiently at the top of the hill. We saw prehistoric markings and I caught a rabbit on camera.

Day 19: cooking a father's day breakfast with Fred and turn around to see this fluffy young wood pigeon. An uninvited guest!
We finally had some sun on Day 18 so, at last, we managed to get outside for more than 5 mins. Lovely walk at the top of Alnwick. Lots and lots and lots of bees who must all be making the most of the sunshine too.
