Ok so we finally got an update on Friday and were advised that PC will likely be at the end of month! We are very surprised and excited!! So we went to the house on the weekend to check it out! Our son checked all the doors from the outside and our son opened the laundry door?! Lucky for us to check it out the inside! But it is slightly concerning as we don't want anything in the house stolen or graffitti art!?

We went out visit our house we cant go inside so pics are taken looking through the windows. (Some windows have clear plastic on inside).. So painting will be starting nxt week! The brickwork is coming along..we finally get to see the colours outside... It seems a bit light.. Wr opted for girraween bricks, paperpark roof and jasper fascia,gutter doors and windows. I did a bit of reading about light house colours and climates.. So hence the choices..i could only see a bit of our ensuite tiles which i love!! Other than that not much doing!

30 May - So we r locked out now and can only give u picks through the windows...

30 May - More Bricks have been laid..

May 29 - Kitchen Cabinets and Bathroom Vanity installed... We have Laminex - Ebony Macassar and White...

May 27 - the bricks are getting laid…. - Girraween Brick with Off-White mortar…

May 19 & 20  We are Plastered!! Here are some pics of the house from last week...

May 15 - Ok so I’ve been a bit slack with photos but here are some pics from 15 May.. The plasterboard is up ... very exciting stuff!!! Alot has progressed over the last couple of weeks...Will post some more pics of the progression...

Wall Insulation was installed the week before last (12 May) and we had the plaster put in late last week... It is all coming together .. very exciting seeing things take shape...

April 29 - Our doors, windows and bricks have been delivered!! It is very exciting now with things moving... We had the windows and doors delivered then they were installed the next day. We also saw our girraween bricks which is great and I hope the external colours of the house come together. We have gone paperbark roof and Jasper Gutter, Fascia, Windows, Doors & Garage Door.  They have also wrapped the house. It is very exciting seeing the progression. We have been advised that it is taking a few weeks for the bricks to be laid. So we are not holding our breath.. but hopefully they can come sooner..

Ok … So we have had a wee bit of a set back…. At the End of March we found out that the concrete slab was not thick enough. It was short about 25mm which meant it needed to be certified by engineers however they did not pass the slab and advised that more concrete needed to be put on top.. approximately 80mm top up…. Bit upset about the delay however to their credit the Builders have made sure the slab is correct and this issue has been rectified! (I feel for the concrete company but hey what can you do?)….

Mind you this was after the Steel Frame was put up!! So steel frame needed to be pulled down, 80mm concrete over the entire slab and then the steel frame  put back up! So we have been delayed a few weeks..

So this last week the gutter and roof have been put on… Paperbark Roof and Jasper Gutter & Fascia… I was a bit unsure about the external colouring of the house after seeing it today…  But will have to see the full effect once the bricks have been laid….

Also have had the HSTP installed on Tuesday as well!! We are getting there…

March 21 - Frame Delivered!!  Frame walls up and waiting for the roof trusses...

March 6 - Slab done! The slab was done last week and lucky hubby checked it out as they forgot to connect the front pier to the slab... So waiting for engineering specks to ensure all is legit...

Feb 23 - Week 1 done... with our block cut and drainage installed ready to have the slab for this week coming... a bit exciting...

I didn't realise how much it was going to be cut and am slightly concerned about having to put in a retaining wall it seems steep from the road...
