Week 3...and 4?

So I got a little bit busy last week (my sister had a baby and I got married!!!) so I didn’t have time to write a blog post within all the happy chaos!

So here I am a few days afterwards feeling relieved! It was such a massive build up...and now it’s all over. In summary, my wedding day was the best day of my life, and something I will never forget. I’m still unsure how much of my private life I wish to share on here, so I will leave it at that for the moment. 

As for camming  (which is, I assume why you’re reading this) I have been quiet the last week, because of my other commitments I was very absent from Vixy and my social media sites. I let my regulars know that I was out of action for the weekend and crazily enough I even made it to the top 12 on the Vixy charts! (awarding me with a bonus $200 USD) for the month.

This is super helpful as you all know how much weddings drain the bank account. The way that Vixy works is by a “leaderboard” which creates an incentive for “celebrities” (The cam girls) and “fans” (The clients). There are 4 tiers, for the celebs... which are as follows:

 RANK #37- #99 and receive a bonus $20 for the month

RANK #19 - #36  receive a  Bronze Crown  + Featured Model Rotation (your profile pic is displayed in the top corner of the fan page, the higher the crown value the more often you will be featured)  + $100 bonus for the month

RANK #10 - #18 you will be awarded a Silver Crown  + Featured Model Rotation  + $200 bonus  (this was my placement last month- woohoo!!! I’ve been told that getting to silver was a great effort for a new cam model ) And FINALLY

Top 9 win the exclusive Model of the Month Crown , which will make the Fans go crazy for you, & appear in the Featured Model Rotation  & $400 bonus! 

Sounds like a beauty pageant!! But I suppose in a weird way it is- and I’m climbing the ranks one witty joke at a time.

I’m really chuffed that I was able to pull off silver for last month- seeing as I had only been doing it for a little over 3 weeks? (and planning a wedding at the same time!!!). And do you know WHY I think I did well?

Because I took it slow.

I researched before I started physically camming (I read blogs, watched youtube videos, articles, I joined chaturbate and just watched some cam girls, checked out their profiles) I did the ground work first.

thought about how I could stand out from the crowd.

And what I was noticing that guys loved the women with personality, with genuine character, charm, wittiness, playfulness and a sense of humour. So I embraced that, and I owned myself completely in that process, because I had never felt so authentic to myself then in that moment I called myself Harmony.

Harmony is projecting light and joy into the world, while “Societal Norm Harmony” is still wearing a mask- so that society still accepts and respects her. I wish it weren’t the case, I wish I could truly lay my people pleaser to rest, but society still has not caught up with the times. And this potentially may be a lifelong struggle to truly project to the world who I am, but in this underground “sex and porn industry” I am able to fully express ALL of me.

Shout out to Josh from Vixy and Chad from Snapchat!!

I’m into my second week of “camming” but i’m beginning to realise this is so much more then just taking sexy photo’s and video’s. For me it’s about being transparent, and fully myself (within safe limits), connecting with men from all walks of life and from all over the world, and actually getting to know them, and them me.

To me that is so important. How can we heal the wounds between masculine and feminine and our relationship with sex by being false and misleading? 

It is my responsibility as a woman to represent our truth. Human beings are intellectual, interesting, complex creatures - both men and women. But we are uniquely different. 

The porn and sex culture is extreme, and for me holds some heavy childhood trauma (more on that for another post). So to have the opportunity to connect socially and sexually with men online gives me a platform to work my magic. 

I tend to ramble a lot when i’ve smoked weed (apologies!) and i’d really love to dedicate a whole post on my philosophy around the sex industry, but for now lets keep all of this light.

I have been having some insightful and meaningful chats on Vixy. One in particular is with a lovely guy called Josh, who is a true gentleman. Who has spent the time chatting to me, getting to know my interests and sharing his. Even sending me a cute photo of his pet snake (and no not the trouser snake guys!! Get your minds out of the gutter) It’s really nice to actually log on to “work” but feel excited, and motivated by the prospect of getting to chat to some genuinely cool people! 

Another cool interaction i’ve had this week was on Snapchat by a lovely chap called Chad. He reached out with some questions and I directed him to my blog for some insight on my WHY. His reply: 

“That was a really enlightening and in depth read Harmony. Thank you for sharing so much with so many wow. It was pretty powerful”

We then chatted back and forth and I told him that I was Polyamorous and in a relationship with two men. He came out with some new questions for me, which has inspired this post! So here are Chads questions:

Does your work interfere with your relationships? Excellent question! And one I am still unsure of how to answer (mostly because it is still unfolding). I’d say yes, and no. Initially when I started there were A LOT of conversations to be had with my partners, and luckily for us we all communicate really well (I mean to successfully navigate a 3 way takes a lot of patience, understanding and openness) 

Strong boundaries were put in place, to ensure I would be safe and respected through this work, and also that they felt secure, loved and in no way any less valuable to me. At the moment I feel it is all smooth sailing, but i’m sure there will be conversations and dialogue needed in the future. 

How long have you been in a Polyamorous relationship?

Not too long, almost 4 months

How did it come about?

It came about when my partner told me he was bisexual, there was a mutual friend he was interested in (who was openly bisexual) I admitted I was attracted to this guy too, turns out this guy was into both of us ... and BOOM!

A week in...

So it’s been a week into my Cam girl adventure! And I’ve been learning a lo (mostly about social media & where to meet the most people + getting a following). In the past i’ve found an influx of information overwhelming, triggering my anxiety and sending me into the depths of despair. However currently I am feeling FREE!! I feel empowered, I feel supported. I feel like my prior life events have lead me to here, this decision. 

I remember in my early teens, I loved dressing up, posing, modelling in front of the mirror, taking sexy photos. I used to send them to the boys at school. I CRAVED the attention. I needed to feel validated, and in doing this lead me into some sticky situations (but thats a story for another post) I felt shame around being a sexual creature, guilt and shame- and comments from my friends that I took too many photos of myself. Was it jealousy? At the time all I felt was embaressment, and so I hid my desire to photograph myself naked, and I buried that desire beneath a mountain of pain. 

Dealing with the shame around this has been a slow process, but fragment by fragment i’m slowly piecing the pieces together, seeing it as an issue with SOCIETY- not with  SELF. I had to let go of my people pleaser- and fear of judgement. Only then could I truly do this properly. Stepping into this desire, reconnecting with it again with a fresh face, has lifted me, I see it in a new light. I am in control, I am free, I can be myself finally. 

Anyway... that was my daily rant- now down to the week summary. 

I’ve had a couple more Live chats on chaturbate- there is a user called josephandthepussycats who has been very supportive, jumping on to cheer me on, and telling people to follow me, and overall being very encouraging (and not creepy or sly in anyway). You see, those were my fears, having to chat to creeps who don’t respect boundaries and are pushy. But in reality- I’ve had no negative interactions...again I am in complete control- and if someone steps over those boundaries they get booted and blocked from my room! So for me- quite healing and satisfying to be able to do that to anyone who makes me feel uncomfortable. I just hang out with the nice peeps! (and I’m not saying the nice ones don’t have kinky fetishes.... ) And thats the thing- as long as you’re nice and you respect my rules and my time, I am so open minded. Willing to fulfill fantasies for people- be that fishnet stockings, pouring custard on myself? (I saw this on a documentary the other day...)

What i’m saying is I was made to do this, I never thought i’d find myself in an industry that allows me to fulfill MY desires and getting paid for it. 

So YAY!

I caught up with a fellow camgirl, emilynguyen.xo (Insta) today for coffee (i’ve now got a bit of a headache- damn caffeine hangovers!!) and she gave me some wonderful advice for getting started, and we chatted sexy stories. She checked out my cam accounts and told me I was doing all the right things... Heck yes x

Why am I doing this?

If you’ve stumbled upon this blog, you are likely a friend, or a follower of me through various social media sites. So WELCOME! to my very first post- it may be a long one!! I have decided to take the plunge into cam modelling.... WOAH. THIS IS BIG RIGHT? So why does it feel so right for me?

The few people i’ve told about this venture have all asked me... but WHY? 

This question is a big one, and one that I have battled over for months- years even. So i’ll try my best to deconstruct it for you all!

I have always had a desire to be involved in sex work, I remember when I was in my early teens I wanted to become a sex therapist. I just loved the topic of sex, and found everything about it fascinating. I always remember feeling ashamed about this- dirty, slutty... wrong? 

Later on in my life I sold sex toys for a company and held demo’s for women at their hens parties, etc. (which was pretty fun to be honest- but alot of travelling for a homebody like me!)

I acknowledge there has always been an interest to the sensual, sexual and erotic world. I’d say this is largely to do with being open minded, accepting, and an overall adventurous person -I am earthy, and not squeamish or grossed out by bodily stuff, which obviously makes getting into cam modelling a little less daunting. Yeah of course I’ll suck my toe for $15... why not? 

Who am I to judge people for their unique fantasies, fetishes, kinks. The shame and the guilt and the hiding is where the danger lurks. And so for me to be part of a platform that is accepting of diversity- of different body types, ages, skin colour, dick size, tit size etc sparks joy for me! (thanks Marie Kondo...haha)

On a down note... (apologies...and trigger warning) I was sexually assaulted a few years ago, which stunted me for a long time. I lost all interest in sex, and I felt like I wasn’t in control of my body anymore. It had been taken from me, and so I disconnected more and more from myself. Throughout the last year or so I have been on a healing journey to connect back into myself, love myself, respect myself and my body. The desire to be involved in sex work resurfaced. So again I pondered on the prospect of Cam work.

And here I am... writing this post. I have had 4-or maybe 5? Cam Chats so far, and the experience has been uplifting, and encouraging thus far. I like the fact that I can work from home, be sexy, and be seen- and appreciated. I love the witty banter, and the fact that I can make my own rules. 

I want to heal the wound between the masculine and feminine, to feel empowered, sexy, and to have the freedom to explore myself in a completely open and non judgemental world. There were so many but ifs.... but what if people find out? My answer to this is, the people who really matter in my life already know what i’m doing, they are supportive of me, and thats the only thing that matters. Also taking all the necessary measures to protect my privacy has been thoroughly researched and implemented! So watch this space... I’ll be sharing more with you all soon.
