There’s an alter I literally never see otherwise who gives me a nice massage from my shoulders to my calves every night as we fall asleep. I guess he does it to relax the body? Since I’m the one closest to the body and it’s not like he can massage the body himself. I don’t know. I wish I could tell him I appreciate it but usually I’m too sleepy 🫠

being plural means a headmate pulling you into headspace to cuddle with you and help you go to sleep because of your& insomnia

being plural means smiling and laughing at a joke one of your headmates made, or having witty banter with them as you make a meal that you'll both be able to enjoy

being plural means a headmate going "its okay, you don't have to do this, i can do it" and you thanking them because yeah, you cant do that, and thats okay

being plural means thinking about your headmates when buying new clothes, or seeing a shirt or pair of pants for sale and going "they'd love that !!"

being plural means making one of your headmate's simplyplural profile, and spending lots of time perfecting it so that it fits them to a T

being plural means knowing you aren't alone

being plural means knowing that your headmates, your friends, your family, are always there for you

being plural means love.

Big advice to people still trying to figure out their plurality:

No Advice is one size fits all, Keep away from Anti Endo Spaces, You don't have to make everything aesthetic— it's okay if your pluralkit/simply plural is just functional and that's it, only you can define how your system works, sometimes your alters will go dormant and that's okay— it doesn't mean they're dead.

My imposter syndrome for diagnosed DID went away when my answer for "Oh God what if I'm faking what if I'm just so mentally ill and making it all up?" Became "If I think I'm plural I can just... Be plural. No prerequisites, no trauma needed. I can just be comfortable with what's going on in my head."

i think the "roles are always forced and harmful" is especially frusturating because some plurals have headmates that are literally Just their roles and i think maybe i dont like whats being implied about them when people say that

i think it’s very important to keep in mind that plurality is not always going to be a 1:1 reflection of external social matters. headmates can have varying levels of autonomy, awareness, interests, etc that you won’t see in singlets. therefore yes, some headmates are going to just be a role and nothing else

if we truly want to understand and accept the nuances of plurality then we need to stop using external life as a scaffolding
