Weāve been vacationing for the past week. We started the week at our favorite place on earth, Point Clear. Caroline loved being the train conductor at my parents house. She would turn it up full blast and then yell, āStop It. Stop It.ā
We decorated Margaretās grave for Christmas. Caroline spent a lot of time looking for good doughnut ornaments for Margaret!
Ten months! How can it be?! This boy is just the sweetest and happiest little love!
We took some time away from Santa and all things Christmas to buy a lot in December. Itās around the corner from where we currently live and still within walking distance of Patrickās facility. Itās 1.78 acres and is just beautiful! We are so excited to eventually build our home there!
Caroline was really curious about Santa and baby Jesus this year. We took her to a live nativitity, visited with Santa at least a dozen times, rode on a trolley (itās like a bus, is what Caroline kept saying) and looked at Christmas lights all over Middle and West Tennessee. It was so much fun watching her fall in love with the season.
We had Santa stop by our house the first of December to visit with Caroline and Joseph and several children from Carolineās school. We ended up having 41 children and at least 20 parents. It was a little wild, but so much fun!
On November 1, Joseph turned nine months and like magic he started sleeping through the night!
He weighs 21.1 lbs and is 28.5ā long.
Patrick has a business meeting in Florence, AL for two days, so I tagged along and we made a long weekend out of it. It was such a great city; we stayed in the cutest boutique hotels and ate some of the best food! It was a great little get away!
We celebrated Thanksgiving for two days. The first event was at my mother in laws house ... Caroline loved playing with her bigger cousins, Ester and Matilda (I have the cutest picture of them, but itās on my computer). Everything was so good and so much fun.
Then on Friday, Abby hosted us for her first family holiday! Her decorations were beautiful and the food was amazing!
Back story to the Santa suit :: Caroline wanted to be Ho Ho for Halloween, I told her no, my mom lectured me about letting Caroline be what she wanted to be, so she and Abby bought her a Santa suit. To say it was a hit would be an understatement. It got a lot of wear this year!
Iām so far behind on updating, so Iām trying to hit the high points ... there were so many the last three months of the year. Our newest (and first) nephew/cousin, Halloween, Thanksgiving and all the Christmas festivities.
Halloween was so much fun. We trick or treated to a couple of neighbors and had friends over for dinner. Caroline loves asking for candy and her āprincessā dress!
She was the cutest little witch and Joseph was the happiest little pumpkin.
Wrestling with daddy is always a favorite! I love walking in on the three of them talking and playing. Patrickās just the sweetest man and seeing him as a daddy makes my heart so happy! I love watching our children play with him.
Caroline loves glasses and she wants to wear mine any chance she get! I think she looks pretty precious!
Weāve really been enjoying the cooler weather. Weāve spent a lot of time outside. Caroline has loved trying out hats, gloves and jackets! We canāt go to school without a coat and she loves wearing it all the time!
