@ourspoetica
kind of weird to think i don't know the trivial things about my father anymore. i don't know when he gets a haircut, or what his favorite food is, or how many packs he smokes a week, or if he knows how many absences i have in school, or if he even cares. i don't know his phone password or screensaver, or how he takes his coffee in the morning or what curses he yells as he's leaving for work. when did my father become an acquaintance?
the line “you pause. you pretend you didn’t” from ours poetica/“punchline” by zeeskeit will forever haunt me 😌
