There were probably better ANBU to be picked to escort the kazekage to Konoha from the border. But here Akira was, sauntering towards the entourage in his jounin uniform of a flak jacket and standard baggy pants. One hand raised as he grinned, eyes roving the group.
“Hey,” the ANBU greeted simply, at ease in his more comfortable clothes. “I’m here to bring you back to the village-just in case, you know?”

He had completely foregone his ANBU equipment, in lieu of having been to the Uchiha compound now so many times. There was no one here to hide from anymore, and he never was one to remain so distant for so long.
And he’d gotten permission beforehand.
Today he approached the compound wearing his normal short sleeved hoodie and baggie pants, Gin the cat hanging from his arms as if he were a child dragging around his cat. Which probably wasn’t far from the truth.
He got to the doors, banging his head against them, and shifted the ninneko in his grip. “Oi, oi. Open up. It’s just me.” As if they were friends and that was supposed to be a comfort.

“It’s not that bad.” He looked at his arm between him and the medical shinobi, frowning at the obviously broken limb. It was bad. “But uh-maybe you could help me out with it?” he asked hopefully, smile on his face despite the pain.

He hated admitting how tired he was. Not that there was anyone around to hear him. Not that any of his teammates were around this deep in the woods. Akira sighed, kneeling down on a branch and glancing around him. He wasn’t alone. He knew that much, and his mouth twisted into a frown.
“You think I’d fall for something like that?” the ANBU chuckled, shifting in his spot.
👋 Kakashi ordered certain documents to be sent to the Uchiha compound for Madara's perusal. Well, //certain// documents entailed that two chests of scrolls be carried in by members of the Hokage's ANBU, and guarded by more. Their entrance to the front yard quiet, but their formation rather jarring. But MORE jarring was the ass obscuring Madara's view as he sipped a cup of tea in the visitor's room. He could feel Akira's bubbling curiosity as he pushed the ANBU aside with a hand on Akira's bum.

He’d long since abandoned his mask at the Uchiha compound-figuring that if Madara wanted to do something about his identity, he would’ve done it already. And it wasn’t like Akira had a clan or a secret. He was just...him. Exceedingly ordinary and without any form of Kekkai Genkai or strong lineage.
Still he looked back-and-down at Madara, lips forming an all too common pout as he was pushed aside with a hand on his ass. “Watch where you’re pushing,” he whined dramatically. “That’s prime real estate back there you know-it’s how I attract potential mates.” As if he’d had a boyfriend in years or was even expectant of getting one.
Still he wiggled his hips at the Uchiha, setting the chest down near him before hopping backward almost comically.

It wasn't usual to have an ANBU tail him so closely. Most preferred to keep their distance in hopes that he might forget they were there. He didn't. && with HIM it would have been no different, had he actually given Haku room to breathe. "You're more— persistent —than your colleagues." He commented once, sitting on the roof of the apartment he shared with Sakura. Dressed in a soft, green kimono, his hair was pulled back into a high ponytail to keep it off of his neck.
“Hmm?” he sat down hard, folding his legs up under him and tipping his head to the side. “Persistent? Am I?” Of course he was, though acting oblivious was one of his favorite hobbies. “Nah-maybe I just want to be your friend.” Or something like that, anyway.
Akira blinked, rocking forward once and then pulling himself back a little with a wide smile on his lips. “Do you not like the others?” he asked conversationally-as if, in the long run, that even mattered. “They’re less personable than me, I suppose.”

“Well well~” he jumped, turning to look over his shoulder at the younger blonde as his lips curled upwards into a grin. “How forward-and to do something like this to one your senior?” It was an act-he wasn’t affronted in anyway, and nearly snickered at the attention. “And what, pray tell, if I were to return the favor, eh?”

He didn’t know her as well as so many other Konoha shinobi seemed to. Didn’t know her past her name and the fact that she was, apparently, skilled in the medical arts. She was pretty, Akira thought offhandedly. For a girl.
“Hey.” The ANBU leaped down from the tree he was in, landing in front of her dressed in his more casual clothing and striking a pose with a hand on his hip moments later. “Your name is Sakura, right?”
