This new/old 14x6 snare was made with sound control wood and old mahogany, the hoops were powder coated by my late brother Boyd Outlaw 10 years ago. He died in a motorcycle accident. I took the hoops to him in Camden South Carolina where he powder coated the hoops for me. He had a powder coating business where he did furniture or anything metal. The turquoise color was an antique color pulled from the 80s Vibe. Gold Dust story

inspired by Michael’s father, Michael Outlaw added a pinch of inspiration to an extraordinary drum giveaway...gold dust! Michael has crafted a 7 x 14 segmented snare drum made from antique virgin heart pine with a unique, transcendent sound. To top it off, the drum’s clear coat finish includes gold glitter. Inspired by gold dust Michael’s father brought back from a South Carolina mine in which Michael’s father labored. This drum is truly one of a kind! This is the only Outlaw snare drum built off the backs of two generations of Outlaws. There is only one drum like this!
