Yes I am a big fan of both Santos AND Langdon. Yes we exist. I can acknowledge both of their faults and strengths. The Pitt creates real people, that have their weaknesses and their faults. Yet, still have us rooting for them. I get both of their sides, and why they don’t like the other person fully. They are mirrors of each other, foils, which is why I love both of them and their contrast. They’re reflections of each other.

I get that Santos has constantly experienced men not facing consequences, and her reporting this and him still not facing the consequences she believes he deserves is difficult and triggering for her. And how she believes that that’s made her a pariah, even if her own defensive mechanisms are contributing to this.

I also understand that Langdon, who does not know any of this, does not understand the hatred she has when he is doing his very best. That she caught him in the very worst moment of his life, and that he just wants to do better and to help people.

Both of these experiences do not cancel the other, they both exist simultaneously. And are both valid.

Oh Trinity Santos nobody gets you like I do. Is she annoying and kind of an asshole? Yes. Does she push people away bc she’s scared of what they’ll find if the get too close? Yes. Does she also desperately want that companionship and to feel known? Of course.

To her I feel like Langdon represents all of the men in her life that got away with things they shouldn’t have. The men who hurt her in ways no one else cared about. That left her feeling like she’s horribly in pain but screaming about it to an abyss. I fear she also hates how much of her self she sees in Langdon. Some of her worst fears realized as she talks about his potential relapse while pocketing a scalpel.

They don’t like each other like that at first but it grows as they experience things together
