Zonic couldnāt help but roll his eyes. āYouāre feeling awfully cheesy today.ā
"Anyway, you might as well start loading things. And if you see Speckle, can you grab her? I think sheās angry because Iāve been packing things all day."
"No problem, Zon! Have you tried shaking her bag of cat treats? She always comesĀ runningĀ for those things! I swear she's almost as fast as I am!"
"Yes." Zonic set a box down on the bed. "You were tired and I figured Iād get a head start."
"Just like my husband, getting thingsĀ doneĀ when they need to be. I don't think there is a luckier man alive."
Sonic smiled, stepping over to Zonic and giving him a small kiss on the forehead;
"What else needs to be packed? Do you need my help packing or should I start putting things in the truck?"
Naturally, however, the hedgehog snapped awake and immediately ran from the room, looking for the luggage and finding most of his stuff packed already;
"Zonic...? Zonic did you do all of this already?"
Sonic had stayed out way late the previous night running aimlessly and was now crashed on Zonic's bed, sleeping far later than any hedgehog should.
"As ready as Iāll ever be. Almost seems surreal that weāre finally getting married after all this time."
"I'm really happy it's youĀ I'm marrying."
"Five days to spare, and everything's done. So long as you got your suit and stuff. You ready for this, Zon?"
"Youāre welcome to invite anyone you want. Iāve already talked to Zector and Zespio about it and they said they want to be there."
"Actually, aside from you, I don't really have any friends. My parents still won't talk to me so that takes them out of the question, and all of my friends from my old zone ignore me. So, I guess that's it for our guests, huh?"
"Two weeks, Zonic. And I think IĀ finallyĀ have the last bit of preparations done. Are we going to invite anyone or is this wedding going to be private?"
"There's nothing to do."
"The second will do I thinkā¦"
"Zon, are you feeling okay?"
"ā¦Thank you, Sonic. Iām sure itās going to be great. Whatās the date so I know what day to take off?"
"We have it booked November 29th up to December 2nd, so take your pick, Zon."
Sonic hadn't even picked up that Zonic looked a little upset. He merely put his arms around his lover, kissing his nose softly

"Y-you-uh- r-really?"
Zonicās ears lowered. Now he felt kind of useless. Here he had been getting the wrong idea and wanted to forget all about the wedding. And here Sonic had been getting the whole thing ready himself.
"Sorry Iā¦wasnāt much help. Thatās great though."
"It was theĀ leastĀ I could do for you, Zonic. You're always so busy with work I knew we wouldn't really have time to sit down and plan it together anyways."
"I managed to get the reservations for the cherry blossom place we wanted to get married while I was gone. You didn't think I wasĀ justĀ doing the Hero thing, did you? I managed to work out aĀ tonĀ of stuff for our wedding too, or, at least the things we already had worked out. I got the place, a minister, I even bought my tux and got someone that'll give us a great selection of wedding rings to exchange at the alter."
"Zon, I have someĀ seriouslyĀ great news!"
