Wod - 7/21/14
Badger (hero wod) 30 squat cleans 800m run 3 rounds So yesterday was kinda a bust for me in a lot of ways. There was no work at work, so I did the wod with the trainers. I'm reaching new heights with my squat cleans (I can easily do over 75lbs one at a time!) but had to scale it back to 45lbs for the actual workout. On top of that I gave in and only did two rounds. It still took almost 30 minutes! Argh so frustrating.

Wod - 7/18/14 Gah! School is starting and I can't sort or my schedule! I'm trying to stay on top of working out and jiu jitsu, but I don't think it's going to happen. At the moment I think crossfit is going to win. Finished Isabel in 3:33 with 45lbs. I probably could have gone up to 55lbs, but I have too much going on to kill myself. Also sometimes it feels good to be in the first five people to finish! Ps. My mile run was under 10 minutes. Personal best. ;)
Wod - 7/15/14
I took last week off because I spent most of the week at a conference in Texas. It was hot, boozy, and not healthy. But that's ok because that was the closest thing to a vacation I wad going to get this year. 3 Power snatches 6 Overhead squats 9 burpees 5 rounds 45 lbs 13:30 Not an amazing time (hot + lazy = slow burpees) but I'm proud of the strength aspect. I love overhead squats because of the need for technique and strength. However, my weight has never been that great (55lbs for one rep). I think I'm past that now. I did 50lbs for 8 reps and it felt solid in my legs and spine. Go me!
WOD - 7/7/14

I've been frustrated with Crossfit recently. My progress has slowed to almost nothing. If feel like I've been stuck at level 2 for weeks and no matter how hard I push myself I hit a wall. I don't do well in heat and it's finally summer in the PNW and I'm dying if I have a workout longer than 20 minutes. Basically it all sucks! However! Yesterday I had some success. Manfriend and I went boldering at a local gym and it wasn't that hard. I was convinced my arms weren't going to be strong enough, but I totally hung on and pulled myself around. My grip didn't give out either (thanks farmer carry). I was done after an hour because of my finger tips felt so raw from the texture of the grips. Today, I'm a little tired but not sore at all. (On a side note, I need to get over my fear of being up so high because that really limited my options.) Even if crossfit is bugging me, at least it's done something! At least I can feel strong and have fun outside of the gym!
