adalie knew céline from school. she thought she was sweet and pretty, but they didn’t talk that much. a few conversations here and there and some study sessions. “well he is the most precious dog that i have every seen. and the name hawking is darling, is it for the late steven hawking?” she asked, not sure if she should reach out and pet the dog because it was being held at the woman’s chest and also it was rude to put people’s dogs without asking. but when he began to jump on her she knelt down and pet him. “i understand. i tried to walk my ferret once, and he felt that it was more fun to be dragged down the road instead of walking. had to carry him most of the way, and he’s never been on a walk since. but hawking seems to be doing well.”
“yes, though i did get him before he passed away, but...” céline shrugged a shoulder, trying not to fall that dark, saddening hole again. the topic was taken especially hard for her given her area of study. when the puppy started bouncing up on adalie, céline laughed before saying a quick apology. “i’m sorry, we’re still working on his manners... he won’t walk unless he sees a treat in front of his face... but how are you? i haven’t seen you in a while...”
♔ - sebastian -
he stumbled outside, hailing a cab for the both of them. opening the door, he waited until she got inside to join her. “it’s mostly me and my guests making the noise.” he shrugged his shoulders. “the rest isn’t that bad.” his apartment was nowhere near small or compact. it was spacey with multiple clean rooms and cozy furniture. he owed its appearance to his house keeper, Shelly.
serafina quickly slid into the cab, looking up to sebastian once he joined her. soon enough, they were heading towards his place which wasn’t too far from her own. leaning against the man, she looked out her window. “you have to come to more of our events,” she started, referencing her family’s line. “i missed you at our last one, you’re the only person who seems to have anything interesting to say.”
♘ - valery -
“or maybe we should just move the lamp over?” he pursed his lips and shook his head. “the minute we get a membership, it’s all over for us. before you know it, we’ll be buying things we don’t need like…like…” he smacked his lips, thinking of examples. “bedazzled chopsticks and a chair shaped like an octopus.” valery sighed in contentment, melting into the bed with her soft kisses. he wished it could be like this all the time, but he had a duty to his country and queen.
valery always felt like he knew grace way longer than he actually had. perhaps in another life or time. whichever it was, he felt like he had always known that she was right for him. he planned to marry this woman and have children with her. he planned to grow old with her, but he would always see her as his beautiful grace- his saving grace. it made him giddy, thinking about the future. he pulled his girlfriend closer, just enjoying her presence against him.
he smiled as he saw grace try to piece together his words. she always looked adorable when she was in deep concentration. he raised his eyebrows as he waited, patient as ever. when she spoke the words back to him, valery almost took her again right then and there. “моя голубка, моя милая девушка.,” he murmured, leaning down to kiss her. he shrugged, looking at the window. “i imagine that they’d enjoy the show.”
“what do you have against bedazzled chopsticks?” grace teased, a stupid smirk on her face and she nudged his shoulder lightly. he was right though, once they got a membership the two of them would probably go on ikea dates, taking pictures with weird furniture or fancy bathroom examples and trying out everything on the menu at the little cafeteria in there. those swedish meatballs really were good... she nearly chuckled at the thought before turning her attention back to her boyfriend whose pale skin was illuminated by the blue moonlight. he truly was the perfect image that any man wanted to be. if she hadn’t been pressed against him on that crowded train, she would’ve still been in that cramped studio apartment with no one to come home to.
she watched valery’s expression as she replied in russian, smiling at his endearing look. with his response, valery spoke a bit too quickly and softly for her to fully understand, but any sentence with the words little dove, and sweet had to be good. instead of questioning him about that, she simply kissed him back tenderly before pulling away to lean over and open the second drawer at the side of their bed. after grabbing one of valery’s old t-shirts, she slid that on and finally slid out of bed to head to that tiny, slight run down kitchen of theirs with appliances that were at least a decade old.
picking up her phone and dialing the number printed on the take-out menu below her, she waited for someone to pick up before ordering valery’s favorite curry and side dished from that hole-in-the-wall indian place about ten blocks from them. at this point, the two were regulars. and quite frankly, eating there really make grace look like the whitest person in existence since even a level two dish was a bit too spicy for her. meanwhile, valery could eat as much curry as they could make which was surprising given he was from russia. after placing their order, she went back to the bed and straddled valery’s lap, slowly and gently laying him back down on the mattress with herself on top of him. her lips kissed along his neck while her hand slid up his stomach. “i’m sorry, i just can’t believe you’re here... i need more convincing-”
Anya: My point exactly.
Anya: Best we leave the past in the past.
Anya: Nobody wants to fuck cute.
Matis: Fearless was groundbreaking
Matis: Art at its finest
Matis: But like... If I'm down to bottom, I bet guys would fuck cute-
Jihao: Well.. I don't really know??
Jihao: But go right ahead. I am brutally honest so maybe that could help?
Matis: Okay good.
Matis: I sent you like... all my selfies, so let me know your top three?
sigrid: if you live in london, you do.
sigrid: do you even know how many people earn money with getting their pictures taken?
sigrid: no, it won't.
Matis: Okay, that's a problem because my bio is "You belong with me"
Matis: I'm keeping the Taylor pic

sebastian blew some curls out of his face. “too early? my mistake, love. i move too fast sometimes.” He chuckled, shaking his head. “thanks, mate.” sebastian accepted the gum and rubbed his forehead.
“ah, well you look like you could use a rest,” matis grinned, slipping the pack of gum back into his pocket. and after a short pause, he tilted his head. “....hey, i know you, don’t i? have we met?”
Sebastian blinked at the person in front of him, a sense of familiarity in his gaze. He was still in his clothes from the previous night, but he still looked good in the designer clothes. “Tell me- did we make out last night?” He ran his hand through his hair. “I feel like we did…if not…would you like to?” He grinned, only partly joking.
grace, nearly running to the theatre where she was due for her call time nearly five minutes ago, came crashing into this man who initially, she didn’t recognize. however, upon looking up, a wide eyed and somewhat nervous look appeared on her face. “oh god-... oh god, i’m sorry-” she stuttered quickly. he was basically famous and could most likely pull some crazy lawyer karate on her to take all her money for the collision. “are you okay?”
♭ - victor -
Though he had always been expected to carry many responsibilities throughout his life, seeing others do the same still piqued his curiosity. Bright young minds were always fascinating, always people to keep an eye out for, for they always brought plenty to the table. Some people were all talk, but some had real potential. Victor was happy picking at the brain of the latter. While older, more experienced people were still necessary in many projects, Victor would not immediately count someone out just because they looked young. He himself was quite young for the position he held. He had no complaints about Céline thus far.
Hearing her answer to his question, he shook his head. “I only offered in case you needed the time to adjust to the scale of the event. I understand that this is quite different from the last. But if you are certain that you are prepared for April, then that is great news.” They didn’t have anything else booked for April, and he doubted that they’d find any as big as this on such short notice.
He nodded. “Excellent. As long as we’re clear on that. I believe the pavilion is indeed the ideal location for this kind of event.” At the mention of a lemur, Victor pursed his lips, giving it thought for a moment. From what he knew of them, he’d expect them to be quick, to move around a lot –– perhaps a potential hazard if left unsupervised. Hearing the name though, the corners of his lips curled upwards just the slightest. “It sounds like people would love him.” A pause. “There’s no issue with the food code if there is no risk of contamination for the food establishments in the centre, or any other food source. So if he is brought in, we’d need a guarantee that he would stay in one area. I assume he’ll be watched at all times during the event?”
“he will definitely be accompanied at all times, no worries there. if you’d like, i could bring him here so you can see him beforehand? he’s about fourteen now, so he’s a little old man, but he’s still very sweet and curious about people still. he enjoys any sort of company.” céline grinned at the thought before sliding her phone out from her back pocket and pulled up the first picture she found of her and the ring tailed lemur hanging off of her to show victor. “he’s sort of our poster child for anti-deforestation since he was found after his habitat was destroyed. we would’ve rehabilitated him for release, but his back leg was injured pretty badly from the accident, so... he’s with us...”
céline was definitely talking to much about things that this man probably didn’t care about, but she realized a bit too late since her ramblings about a lemur took up a few minutes. it was like she was some proud mom of a college student on the dean’s list showing another person baby pictures. biting her bottom lip, she put her phone away and leaned back on her seat with a light clearing of her throat. “but yes, we can guarantee that he’ll be in the allowed area. our legal team could sign any document you might have regarding that if you might be worried about any incidences.” of course the lemur wouldn’t do anything like that. quite frankly, he moved too slowly to really run off anywhere, but if it ensured the ceo it would be fine.
Fautina: Wow, no. Don't do that.
Faustina: Aren't you a little old to be on Tinder?
Matis: Rude?
Matis: I'm thirty one. And come on, I need input.
Eideard: Dear god, I'm not sure we're this close. I don't want to be that close with anyone. Well, Agnete could send me all the pictures she wants.
Eideard: But alright, go ahead.
Matis: Can you stop bragging about your perfect marriage, I'm lonely
Matis: Sent them lmk

sebastian had only loved one woman in his life. a young woman who he met in norway when he studied abroad. that quickly ended when her life did. now he was content to have a warm body next to his, and it didn’t matter who it was. “i’ve redecorated some things. i think you’ll be rather impressed.” he nodded towards a cab outside. “come on, love.”
serafina on the other hand had no intentions of marriage nor any sort of romance. being free from those things were less restrictive which was exactly what she needed at this point of her life. however, fooling around wasn’t off limits. she nodded a bit with a small grin, taking one more look at him before heading off to the cab he nodded towards. “i’m surprised you haven’t move, i remember you telling me how loud the area could be.”
Anya: honey, you're talking to the social media queen, of course i'll take them
Anya: trust me, i'm a goddess, but mirror selfies are ALWAYS a no
Matis: What do you have against 2008?
Matis: Taylor Swift released Fearless in 2008
Matis: And my mirror selfies are cute.
Lukas: Considering we've known each other since elementary school, I think it's fair to say so.
Lukas: I cant believe you're using tinder.
Matis: Well excuse me, we can't all find healthy relationships
Matis: And you're not setting me up with anyone, so this is my only choice.

“You might need to pop by Ikea later today. Otherwise, we’ll be blind.” He hummed, feeling nice and cozy besides Grace. He chuckled, thinking about the Ikea employees and what they must think to see Val and Grace buy laps every couple of months. Their room really was quite small, but they made it work. Besides, Valery didn’t mind being close to Grace. Whenever he returned from his guard, Valery could barely separate himself from Grace. He was always attached to her hip, always holding her close.
It reminded him of the day they met. Valery just so happened to take a different route home that day, and he was just lucky that he managed to step foot on the metro. However, he was pressed against a petite brunette, and he only prayed that he wouldn’t squish her. It was awkward, of course. He hoped that she would get off soon, but as the clock went by, he realized that that wasn’t going to happen. And soon enough, he didn’t want it to. She was beautiful and funny, and she made him laugh. And when they left together, giggling over cheap pizza, Valery knew that his life would never be the same. And he was right.
Valery hummed softly, his curls falling into his face. He stroked her cheek with his fingers. “Как мне так повезло любить тебя?” He sat up and stretched, closing his eyes for a few moments. “I have no privacy in the tents. It was…awful.” He laughed, running a hand down his face.
“i will. we should probably get a membership there with how many times we have to pop in for a new lamp-” she grinned, lurching her body a bit upward to kiss his neck just below his ear, and then his collarbone, then his jaw. they were without a doubt overly sweet whenever he came back home, but they were normally no different otherwise. their entire relationship seemed like some movie, but she wouldn’t have it any different... well, she would like him to be home and safe instead of having to fight as a part of his job, but if that was what he loved, grace could never tear him away from that.
his hair fell back into his face again earning a smirk from grace who was still looking up at him with adoring eyes. it was still cold in their place since that air conditioner hadn’t been fixed, but it was just another reason to press closer no matter how sweaty either of them were. staying against each other had never been an issue, it was how the two of them met. the whole train ride she had nothing to hold on to so grace was doing her best at keeping her balance. about half an hour later, she had no problem with holding on to valery instead.
mouth slightly agape in concentration, grace looked at his lips as he spoke in his native language and concentrated on his words. russian was normally seen as this harsh, unflattering language, but she only found comfort in it after she met valery. while he would go on deployment or when she had free time during rehearsals, grace would study the language from some app she found on her phone. “oh, i know this-” grace spoke quickly as she pieced together her response. "я счастлив, моя любовь," grace was partially sure that it was the correct wording, but she did look up at him for confirmation.
grace sat up in the bed but kept the sheets over her chest when he stretched out. “i’d imagine,” she replied with a chuckle. “and if we keep the blinds closed on the window, that restaurant across the street can’t see through it, so we have as much privacy as we want-”
Pip: i have no experience in online dating so idk how helpful i'll be?
Matis: Sounds like a lie but okay
Matis: I just sent them tell me my damage
