Will never understand how DE one time rightfully made fun of the illiterate and emotionally unintelligent players in the patch notes, then turned around and caved to the cries of those very players by adding the 'Eleanor is a minefield' convo.
Like every time I've heard someone call her that, they either didn't actually pay attention to what she had to say, didn't treat her like a person, and/or went with the most tone-deaf, dismissive dialogue option. At worst, she has maybe one or two moments where she's sensitive and you have to be very careful, but that's it.
And the thing is? In a vacuum, the 'minefield' convo is a nice introspective moment for Eleanor who has consistently been self-conscious about herself. But it is so tied to the meta surrounding the conversation from certain players about how "hard" she was to talk to or how "overemotional" and "hysterical" she is, that I cannot see it as anything other than DE conceding to those complaints.
