The first world’s LGBT magazine was german magazine Der Eigene, published in Berlin (1896-1932) by journalist and anarchist Adolf Brand. Der Eigene published gay poetry and prose (by Thomas Mann and Friedrich Schiller), political manifests, and nude photography. In 1933 Hitler succeed in his rise to full power over Germany and all materials necessary to publish “Der Eigene” were confiscated.
