Here’s the thing that gets me - when parents have children, they are meeting this little person for the very first time, and getting to know him even as he’s getting to know himself. They have no idea who or what he will become. Their pleasure is learning about this person.

When God has children, though, He knows everything about them from Eternity. He knows all the choices that face this child in his life and what the outcome of every choice will be. God loves us while fully and completely knowing us from the time of Creation.

And He still wants us and loves us fully.
