Ardyn witnesses S/O being hitted on/flirted with, unbeknownst to S/O. He then disguises himself later as the previous mentioned person. Approaching S/O pushing the boundaries, wanting to see their response. S/O puts up a good fight against pushy flirt, and is rewarded with Ardyn 😏
First time writing a full-blown Ardyn fic… I STILL ADAMANTLY REFUSE TO JOIN ARDYN HELL… but I can see it from where I’m standing lol.
You’d been working hard to advance in the ranks of the Niflheim army, and as a result you’d been spending a lot of long nights around Ravus and the rest of your fellow officers, poring over maps and discussing strategy. One evening, after a particularly spirited discussion in the war room, you propose a strategy that satisfies all parties, and Ravus gives you a smile that makes the heat rise in your cheeks. As the other officers file out of the room, Ravus stops you.
“Seems like you’ve been behind a lot of our best moves lately.”
“Thank you, sir. Just doing my job.”
“Perhaps we should discuss your career prospects sometime…”
He places a hand over yours.
“…say, over a bottle of wine?”
You give him a nervous smile, uncertain of the safest thing to say. Ravus’s offer would ordinarily be rather tempting, but you’d been secretly seeing the Chancellor for a month now and you didn’t want to mess things up with him.
“I… t-thank you, sir. I should probably get going for tonight… lots of prep for tomorrow.”
“Of course, of course. Dismissed.”
As you hurry out of the room, a sudden chill runs down your spine; you shiver and wrap your arms around yourself, hoping you aren’t catching a cold.
The walk back to your quarters is as uneventful as you’d expect, but as your key is turning in the door you’re startled by a shadow looming over you. When you turn around, it’s Ravus. You place your hand over your heart and heave a sigh.
“Gods… you scared the shit out of me, sir.”
Ravus places his arm on the wall behind you and leans over you imposingly; you can smell his aftershave. His heterochromatic eyes bore holes into you, and you can hear your pulse pounding in your ears.You try to step to the side, but he blocks your way out.
“Sir this, sir that… you’re a good little girl, aren’t you? Always so respectful of your commanding officer.”
