I regret all of us responding so strongly to peathers because at the end f the day it’s just such a low quality show with lazy and at times confusing writing both in dialogue and story, and sub par acting at best, and likely would’ve faded away as another failed first season of a show if we hadn’t given it so much attention, now people like it specifically because it’s unpopular and they’re “edgy”

Why is it called Peathers? People could have called it Pheathers and the name would have been at least two (2) times funnier. Opinions aside, why are they still running it? On what plane of existence is it more profitable to run this horrid abomination than to simply say “Shit, we fucked up, sorry fam” and drop it?

I... really don’t think that h does much but gives us one more letter to type. It’s not like h is the Secret Comedy Letter. And they’re still running it because they have to run at least the first season at this point it’s already been funded and invested in and put together. Our only hope is not giving it the views and reviews it needs to warrant Paramount giving them a second season.

For anyone who plans to watch peathers, be it for genuine enjoyment or hate watching (which I don’t recommend), please keep in mind that they have said a few times now in interviews that a certain character will have a graphic on screen suicide in the second episode. If that’s something upsetting or triggering for you, please take precaution!

OKAY I haven’t rewatched it since the first time this morning, so I’ll probably make a better post another time when I’ve gathered the strength to give this mess another go, but here’s my overall thoughts after first viewing now that I’ve recovered.

paramount heathers is shaping up to be even more homophobic, antisemitic, antiblack, and transphobic than i ever thought! if you’re still planning on watching it, i’d like you to consider that as of today:

paramount has posted a gif of heather chandler in a na/zi soldier’s cap 

a clip confirming that heather mcnamara, a canon lesbian and the only black lead, will be killed off 

yet another “uwu did you just assume my pronouns?!” joke

not confirmed yet, but heavily implied demonization and killing off of betty finn, an asian character 

please PLEASE PLEASE do not give this show attention. don’t watch it. don’t post positive reviews and buzz about it.
