Hey, up for some company?
*Poppy had just walked in the infirmary, and quickly found the Will.*
- Poppy @p0ppy-anon
[Will glances to the side from the sink where he seems to be washing a number of different things from thermoses to scalpels to what looks like it might maybe be a torture implementat but is actually used for removing barbed arrows] yeah sure. Whats up?
Just bored really, and avoiding Conner, sometimes he just drags me along to do pranks.
*Poppy shrugs, he just leans against the edge of the sink.*
Anything interesting today?
Luckily not really. Nothing I havent seen before at least [he says, laughing as he sets a scalpel aside and starts washing one of the thermoses he uses for nectar] you not a prankster? At this camp?
Nope, not really. I honestly don't know why conner tries to drag me along... Maybe as a challenge.
I just like to explore... or go to the arts and crafts area. Conner would look for me there first thing though.
*Its blunt, not unkind, rather a lottle fond instead*
Wow. I mean im not going to complain, it makes my job easier. What kind of stuff do you do? I know theres all kind of weird stuff in the art pavilion [he puts the sponge down to rinse the thermos off now]
Anything and everything, weaving is a favourite of mine. I also like felting when I can get the right furs.
I also like to design stuff, a few blankets, some better arrow design occasionally - That one was requested - also book covers, I have a good hand for leather book covers ...
*Poppy thinks if there is more, which there is but he shrugs*
I'm just all over really, I could talk about my artsy designs for hours.
What about you? Any hobbies outside of work here?
[Will's face looks gradually more and more impressed as he continues talking] oh holy hera [he says, water running over his hands that have since stopped moving beneath the stream] I uh... not really? I mean I cant exactly use technology so star wars and true crime is harder than it used to be.
oo, I really like those crime documenties, I watched them when I was younger, before camp.
Sadly can't now, but its better to be a year rounder anyway.
Did you watch crime docos? They are really good.
*Poppy is reminiscing on a few old memories*
Mostly i did podcasts. My boyfriend is all lowkey creeped out by them i think. [He says with a fond laugh as he continues rinsing the thermos before setting it aside] which is ironic. Kinda nice though
ooo, those are good options too... probably less of a becan for monsters but I wouldn't know.
*Poppy chuckles*
Well, I am dancing around a little bush, but I do have a gift-
I sort of couldn't stop thinking about you and made a notebook.
*Poppy pulls out a sleak yellow faux leather notebook with a pressed sun logo into the leather.*
I liked the sun theme. *Poppy opens the notebook to show that its like a binder*
You xan add and takeaway pages too, that was a fun challenge.
Same. I dont like testing it so much around camp. Too many kids around and all. Last thing a new camper needs is to make it all the way to the border and get mauled by a monster I brought there because true crime [he laughs at his own morbid joke, though the actual sentiment behind it is genuine]
[And so is the pause when Poppy pulls out the notebook] huh? Wait why? [He seem baffled by this, not making any move to take it] I havent even seen you get injured except for like one time. Its impressive, but what?
boredom, and I like making books with themes. *Poppy passes the book to Will* Yours now.
[Will takes it, hands tracing over the indentation of the sun in the leather] thanks? [He says before trying again] no? That wasnt a question im just still confused. Its cool though. Really cool
I'm very much confused what you meant then, but if we are moving past it, we are moving past it.
Don't thank me. Really.
Moved past [Will nods in confirmation, rolling his eyes amusedly with the notebook held to his chest] and i am thanking you. Do you know how much this is stoking my ego right now?
.. Well its just a gift, really... *Poppy has no clue how to accept appreciation lmao*
Use it how you like...
Ill figure something out. [Will pulls the notebook away from his chest to look at it more closely] somehow it doesn't feel right to just use it for notes
*Poppy just shrugs, he doesn't really have any valuable suggestions*
Dear diary [he says, testing out the idea as he flips to the first page before his face scrunches at the idea of having things like that written where people could read them] nah, not that
*Poppy chuckles at that, finding that amysing* Not a diary then? *Light teasing*
Definitely not [he says with a laugh of his own]
Journal isn't that much better, but does that work? *Poppy tries a little, if only to just tease*
Huh yeah. Maybe changing it to dear journal will solve it [he nods safely, clearly sarcastic]
"Oh dear my secret journal"? I see the appeal. *Jokes, clear sarcasm in response*
Oh, well a secret journal has its appeal. [Will tilts his head, as if actually considering it. He is not considering it]
*Poppy just bursts into laughter, dropping his sarcasm*
[Will grins at his success, flipping to the first page for more inspiration] something with come up
*Barely brings himself together, a wobbly smile* Your hilarious, I can see me coming here more often.
I try. [He shrugs, snapping the book closed in a move thag almost makes him fumble it] and hopefully uninjured again
Eh, we'll see. Whatever fate decides.
