15. “It doesn’t matter. You’ve moved on and I have to be okay with that.”
Lucas was frustrated. He had gotten lost on the way here, the traffic was horrible, and his phone died too. Thank goodness for portable chargers, or he would’ve damn sure turned around and aborted his mission. He had never even heard of this place, let alone thought he would ever have to pick something up from it.
As he walked into the tiny store, the scent of sugar calmed his nerves. He observed all the different kinds of cakes that sat on display, and he wouldn’t deny how intrigued he was.
“Hi. Are you here to pick up an order?” An older woman said from behind the counter.
“Yeah. My best friend is getting married tomorrow.” He smiled. “It should be under the last name Kim.”
“Oh, I remember him. Such a sweet boy. I’ll be right back.” She went to the back, and the sound of a bell ringing indicating someone walked in caused Lucas to turn around, shocked to see you.
“...Y/N?” It sounded as if he saw a ghost. If felt like he did. He hasn’t seen you in so long.
“Lucas.” You whispered. The sound of his name on your lips brought everything back. Every damn thing.
“What are you...what are you doing here?” He observed every inch of you. He would be blind if he didn’t see the large diamond that shined on your ring finger. When you saw it, you threw your hand behind your back.
“I’m uh, I’m here to design a cake. You?”
“Oh...” you trailed off. “Are you-
“No.” He answered quickly. The thought of marrying someone that wasn’t you made him sick. All this time and he still wasn’t over you.
Now the two of you sat in an awkward silence. The chilly air from the fridge was the only thing that could be heard.

Yes. Hell yes. He still had the ring he was going to propose with in his drawer. But he wouldn’t do this to you. Confuse you. Ruin another mans happiness. “It doesn’t matter. You’ve moved on and I have to be okay with that.”
“Hey babe, sorry I couldn’t find a place to park.” A deep voice said, walking through the door. When Lucas locked eyes with him, he knew he didn’t know who he was. “Who’s this?” He asked, wrapping an arm around your waist.
“An old friend.” Was all you said with a sad smile on your face. Your beautiful face.
“Order for Kim?” The older woman said.
“That’s me.” Lucas grabbed the cake off the counter, and went to the door. “It was nice seeing you, Y/N.”
