Husk: He seemed really sure about it.

Alastor: I know I right now hand me a drink I've had a long... wait how long was I gone?

Husk: Well that makes me more worried.

Hazbin Hotel Imagines: You call them you Best friend

♡Scenario: You’ve both been dating for a while now and you suddenly call them your ‘best friend’

➷Adam 🎸

You were chatting with an exorcist in the dynamic court of Heaven when Adam flew down, wrapping a heavy arm around your shoulders. “What’s up, losers? Talking about how awesome I am?”

You smiled at the exorcist “Oh, we were just talking about how lucky I am to have you, Adam. Honestly, he’s the absolute best friend an angel could ask for.”

Adam froze, the golden glow around him literally flickered. He stared at you, his smirk dropping instantly. “Excuse me? Best friend? Babe, I am the original dick, I am your boyfriend. We literally did—” You cut him off with a laugh, but he spent the next three hours demanding you tell everyone in Heaven that he is, in fact, the alpha boyfriend.

➷Lute 🗡

Lute was polishing her sword while you conversed with a high-ranking angel. When the angel complimented your close bond with Lute, you sighed happily. “Yeah, Lute is amazing. I don’t know what I’d do without my bestie”

The sound of metal scraping stopped, Lute slowly raised her head, her eye narrowing into a lethal glare.

She didn’t say a word to you, instead she pointed her sword directly at the angel’s throat, but her words directed at you, “If you ever call me that civilian soft-ass title again, I will end you. And you,” she snapped, turning her fiercely blushing face to you, “are fixing this in our quarters, now.”

➷Lucifer Morningstar 🐤

While hosting a small gathering at the palace, a Hellborn noble asked how you and the King met. “Oh, we’ve been inseparable ever since,” you beamed. “Lucifer is my literal best friend.”

Lucifer, who was mid-sip of his champagne, choked. He coughed, frantically setting his glass down “Best…friend?!” his voice cracked, his eyes turning wide and slightly manic.

“But…but the rubber ducks? The romantic dinners? The matching pajamas?!” He looked so genuinely heartbroken and panicked that you had to immediately hug him and confess it was a prank before he started crying.

➷Charlie Morningstar 💕

Charlie was introducing you to a new resident at the hotel. “And this is my absolute favorite person!” she beamed, holding your hand.

You smiled at her words “Aw, thanks Charlie! You’re the absolute best friend I could ever ask for.”

Charlie’s optimistic smile faltered for a fraction of a second. Her eyes flooded with sympathetic tears “Oh…best friend is…” she awkwardly stood there, grabbing your hands. “Did I do something wrong? Are we taking a step back? I mean, I love being your best friend, but I thought we were…oh man, I need to call a feelings meeting.” You felt so guilty you ended the prank within five seconds.

➷Vaggie 🎀

You were talking to Husk at the bar when Vaggie walked up, resting a hand on your waist. You subtly leaned away and smiled at Husk “Yeah, Vaggie’s great. I’m so glad we’ve stayed such close friends through everything.”

Vaggie’s hand dropped, her eye widened in pure shock. She looked at Husk, who just raised an eyebrow and took a sip of his drink.

Vaggie crossed her arms, her defensive walls slamming right back up. “Friends? Right. Okay, cool, I guess ‘friends’ sleep in the same bed and share clothes. I’m going to go practice with my spear, alone.”

➷Alastor 🎙

You were talking to Rosie in Cannibal Town when Alastor materialized beside you. You smiled and said, “Rosie, you know my best friend, Alastor.” Alastor’s smile stretched impossibly wide, his radio static screeching like a car brake.

The air in the room grew noticeably colder. “Your…what, darling?” he purred, his eyes shifting into radio dials.

Rosie immediately started laughing, realizing what you were doing. Alastor caught on a moment later, leaning down to whisper in your ear, “A hilarious jest. Do never utter it again, or I might have to broadcast your public apology” He was incredibly petty for the rest of the day until you apologized with plenty of affection.

➷Husk 🥃

You were sitting at the bar counter while Husk poured you a drink. Angel Dust strolled by, winking at you. “So, how’s the love life with old whiskers here?”

You sighed dramatically. “Oh, Angel, we’re not dating. Husk is just my best friend, right Husky?”

Husk stopped mid-wipe with his rag. He stared at you, his ears twitching downward “Best friend? Is that what we’re doing now?” he grumbled, looking genuinely offended under his gruff exterior. “I don’t listen to your rambling at 3 AM because we’re pals, kid.” You reached over and grabbed his paw, laughing. He just pouted behind the bar, refusing to pour you another drink until you gave him a kiss.

➷Angel Dust 🕷

You were talking to Fat Nuggets on the couch when Angel walked into the room, striking a pose. You looked at the pig and said, “Look, Nugget, your uncle Angel, my best friend, is home!”

Angel dropped his dramatic pose instantly. “Woah, woah, hold the phone,” he said, walking over and shoving all four hands on his hips.

“Best friend?! Babe, I don’t let just ‘best friends’ do the things we do in my room. You’re downgrading me to the friend zone? After everything I’ve given you?!” He didn’t stop complaining until you pulled him down by his fluff and kissed him.

➷Cherri Bomb 💣

You and Cherri were leaning against a graffiti-covered wall, talking to a random sinner after a turf war “Yeah, we totally destroyed them,” Cherri laughed, wrapping an arm around your neck.

“We did,” you agreed, sliding out of her grip. “Honestly, there’s no one else I’d rather have as a best friend than Cherri” Cherri’s single eye went wide.

She pulled a live bomb out of her pocket, lit it, and threw it at the sinner you were talking to, sending them blasting away. She then grabbed the collar of your shirt, pulling you down to her eye level. “What did you just call me? Best friend? You think you can handle all this and just call me a pal?” You laughed as she started aggressively shaking you back and forth. “Say I’m your badass girlfriend right now or I’m putting a cherry bomb in your shoe!”

➷Sir Pentious 🐍

You were showing off one of his Egg Boiz to a guest “Pentious is amazing,” you said. “He’s my best friend.” Pentious dropped his wrench. His hood flared out completely, his eyes going wide with sheer shock.

“B-Best friend?!” he shrieked, his voice cracking painfully.

“But we have courted! We have held hands! I built you a death ray! Is a death ray not a symbol of monogamous commitment?!” He slithered away to his room to dramatically weep into his pillow until you had to drag him out to explain it was a joke.

➷Vox 📺

You were talking to a tech assistant in the main studio when Vox walked in, adjusting his bowtie. “Everything good here, darling?” You nodded “Yep! Just telling them what a great best friend you are.”

Vox’s screen instantly glitched into blue-and-red static. “Best friend?!” he echoed, his voice modulating wildly.

The lights in the studio flickered “I literally control the media in this ring, and you’re treating me like a high school pal?! I am your boyfriend! Delete that word from your vocabulary right now!” He immediately ordered a massive billboard outside the studio to display a photo of the two of you with the caption ‘DEFINITELY DATING!’

➷Velvette 💅

Velvette was scrolling through her phone while you were talking to one of her models. “Yeah, Velvette’s a total icon,” you said “I’m just lucky she lets her best friend hang around the studio.”

Velvette stopped typing, she slowly lowered her phone, her sharp eyes locking onto yours with terrifying intensity.

She stood up, her heels clicking loudly against the floor “Did you just use the ‘F’ word with me?” she asked, stepping right into your space. “Honey, my brand is not ‘friend.’ My brand is ‘it-couple.’ If this is a joke, it’s tacky, if it’s not, you’re sleeping on the couch, and I’m personally burning that vintage sweater you love.”

Husk leaving the hotel and Cherri asking “what about Angel?” Girl knows-

Husk hesitating before saying Angel is an adult and Angel doesn’t need him-

“Loser Baby” literally haunting the narrative in Husk’s song not just with the slot machine literally spelling out the song but also the lights and how it’s styled similar to “Loser, Baby” except Husk is alone.

Husk just buffering when he sees Angel in drag. The blush- yeah bro is drunk too but damn, he was NOT blushing that hard before

Angel’s solo being basically a inverse to Husk’s

Also Husk, bro, close your mouth. You’re gonna get flies 😂

Angel’s reaction to hearing Husk left- Husk apologizing for pushing Angel on redemption in S2E3, Angel asking if Husk is still mad at him and Husk saying he doesn’t DESERVE to be someone protected like that. AHHH And then Angel saying he’ll see him back at the hotel. Maybe it’s wishful thinking on Angel’s part, or maybe he just knows, but I absolutely love how Husk does return following this interaction and the first thing he does is look for Angel.

Whatever Vox has planned with Lucifer and Angel- the propaganda. The thing he’s gonna do that’s gonna make Charlie want to “kill herself.” Husk is gonna fucking LOSE IT.

I love how the ship is shipping.

Husk was hit by a fucking train this episode. He leaves the hotel, telling himself he has no reason to stay, and then the universe is like “are you SURE about that?!”

You wanna talk about how Husk isn't even able to get an inch away from Alastor, while Angel is easily able to tug away at any point? Wanna even discuss how Angel's chains seem to be becoming less former the bolder he becomes?

Wanna talk about how Husk was proud of Angel doing something that he'll possibly never will be able to do?

During the fight when Husk is fleeing from Velvette he turns into a card that switches from a joker to a 10, and I’m wondering if that is partly showing him essentially “powering up.” Getting access to his abilities. Going from being a joke to a card with some value (although notably not a face card or the highest in the deck, showing possibly we haven’t seen his full power.)
