Well, unless you were one of these people who can’t control themselves from sneezing and talking directly into someone else’s face.
Who needs double-blind studies when you have an armchair?
Imagine only believing recent studies rushed to the forefront immediately after politicians decided on their placebo of choice for a pandemic they were not really equipped to handle. Never mind the decades of conventional medical knowledge and studies which made up the standard of our medical understanding of how masks work and don’t work. it was only after Dr. Fauci, Dr. Redfield, and the US Surgeon General Jerome Adams all flipped on their warnings like a bunch of criminal stooges that suddenly the new studies became the ‘consensus’ prevailing opinion, even though secretly politicians know it’s political theater.
But what do I know? I guess because I have not read THE DOUBLE-BLIND STUDIES you claim to religiously adhere to like a dull lemming, that means I’m just armchair quarterbacking? Right? Just because I’m not a working Scientist™, like this guy, I must just be making up my own facts?
Well, maybe so. Then again, I do have quite a bit of evidence on the topic. And thanks to you, I finally have a good reason to share my links like I’ve been asked to for months.

The Mandalorian really said ‘of course i support fascist rights... fascist’s rights to f****** die!’
The irony that all of the social justice crusaders, wannabe socialists, and pro-lockdown/mask Karens who reblogged this or liked this scene during the show but did not grasp that it was contrasting individual freedom versus centralized authoritarianism. They gleefully cheered how cool it was for one of the protagonists to shoot the evil (oddly American accented) Empire goon, but then afterwards immediately jumped online to mock real people who do not believe in government mandates shutting down businesses and people’s lives as clinging to “muh freeedom”. They probably all oppose gun ownership by no non-government civilians. And they don’t even understand that this does not just apply to “fascist” regimes. It applies to just about every asshole in the federal government and most of the governors and legislators at the state level.
It will forever amaze me how statists do not comprehend simple fictional plot themes in comparison to real world events. They love the concept of rebels resisting against the big evil empire on screen, but in reality they applaud the big evil state crushing the ordinary citizen standing up for themselves.
You are an idiot. There is a difference between empathy and tyranny. being asked or even required to socially distance, wear masks, avoid gatherings during a pandemic is not authoritarianism any more than being required to be sober while driving. It is part of being aware that your actions are your own, but the consequences of them are shared across the people around you. to not wear a mask in a covid hotspot is the same level of selfish as drunk driving. Sure, you made an informed choice about the disease risk, but if and when things go wrong, everyone around you suffers the consequences.
“Being asked” ≠ “required”
Authoritarianism is all about an authority requiring others to do something by force. That was my point, and you just attempted to conflate it with being polite or some nonsense. Who’s the real idiot here?
But by all means, Karen, please keep believing really hard that someone else wearing a mask is magically going to prevent you from contracting the virus. It worked quite well for President Emmanuel Macron… or perhaps he just didn’t mask hard enough or have all French citizens mask even harder.
If there were only even a positive correlation between mask mandates and a reduction in positive cases. But alas, there is not.
And just imagine believing normal people just wanting to live their lives without a face diaper strapped their face at all times while showing zero symptoms for endless months is somehow “selfish” and equatable to drinking and driving. What a sick cult you have subscribed to, @thecheesetoasty.
Oh, and to keep this party going, for anyone interested I am adding another new study to my growing list of mask articles. This one found in Physics of Fluids called “Effects of mask-wearing on the inhalability and deposition of airborne SARS-CoV-2 aerosols in human upper airway” researchers from the University of Massachusetts Lowell and California Baptist University found that particles of 2.5 micrometers or lower diminishes protective efficacy on used masks. Likewise, from this study it can be deduced that these microscopic particles can easily escape outward as well from a dirty mask by an infected party. So, while a mask may prevent saliva particles from transferring directly, it does not prevent viral particles from passing through the mask onto others, especially when reused. And this study is based on a three-layer surgical mask which is probably far more effective than popularly worn cloth masks, breathable neck gaiters, and face shields.
It turns out, masks are just a placebo for gullible, ignorant people.
That wasn’t part of the plan. Just…getting some stuff off my chest.
