Never have I admitted to myself, not even once, that being a stay-at-home mom is boring. Beceuse really, there is and will always be something that needs be done. I like staying at home though it feels different because you see, I have been working for 5 straight years two years before I joined the "jobless" bandwagon. There will always be dishes to clean, clothes to fold, dust to gather and movies to watch. There will always be kids to look after for, husband to take care of and a washroom to keep sparkling. There will never be a medicine to dispense wrongly nor a boss to keep happy. There will never be an angsty patient to deal with nor a delivery guy to scold. I like it, though it feels different. The longer I stay this way, that more I realize what I really want to do in life. And none of those dreams include washing the dishes and doing the laundry. I want to travel, I want to be out of Scarborough, out of Ontario, out of Canada. There is something in me that is itching to walk lustfully in cobbletone alleys and I want to drag my husband with me. I want us out of this everyday domesticated madness. Or maybe it is about time to accept that I am getting bored. Yes, I am bored. I am tired of the cycle of waking up then walking straight to the kitchen to prepare brunch. My dreams are of walking down the hotel lobby to eat breakfast and go straight outside to explore the nakedness of the city.
