LIBRARIES WITHOUT WOMEN
Because librarianship is a female dominated profession, libraries wouldn’t be able to open to the public today if there were no women. Women matter.

Artist Transforms Vintage Black And White Images Into Absurd GIFs
Kevin Weir, the art director at Droga5 in NYC, is known for using historical black and white photographs to make quirky and haunting GIFs. To create a GIF, Weir taps into the Library of Congress’ online archive to pick out images with “unknowable places and persons.” Featuring royalty and war heroes, among other historical sceneries, Weir’s animations prove to be obscure.
Although his work may seem disturbing to some, it holds a peculiar humor and special artistry. Dream-like and ephemeral in nature, Weir has an excellent eye for curation, which lends to his imagination.
Take a look at Weir’s absurd and surreal imagination at work.

Just finished reading this wonderful book! ❤
True😊
Had to buy this box with a couple of John Green books. 😊
In Iceland, books are exchanged on Christmas Eve, and you spend the rest of the night reading. People generally take their books to bed along with some chocolate. How cozy and wonderful does that sound? (More fun facts: Iceland publishes more books per capita than any other country, and new books are typically published only during the Christmas season—the frenzy is called Jólabókaflóð, or the Christmas Book Flood.)

I think I found a new tradition…

My parents did that for us when we were little. We got to open one box on Christmas Eve, and it was inevitably a box with new pyjamas and a book in it. We were allowed to stay up reading as long as we wanted, as long as we were in our new PJs in bed, which usually meant I was out like a light by 9pm. Brilliant strategy.

Looking forward to reading this book. Just my kind of book(I think😜). 📚 Have alot of books in my "to-read"pile. :)
