Personality/About/History ETC
ISTJ - The Detective Paige has always loved figuring things out. She loves a good mystery and figuring out: who done it. When she was little she had a large magnifying glass and an ugly brown hat like detectives did. Her parents converted an old shed as her little ‘office’. Meticulous might as well be Paige’s middle name.
Sibling relationship: Paige is the oldest, her nosy behavior probably annoys her siblings, typical relationship
Grew up lower-middle class in Chicago
Popular in school
Attended college for Michigan State
Had a sordid relationship with a man who became an electrician named Lucian Marshall
Spent her summers at Country Clubs in Chicago. (Probably where she met Marshall)
Her father doesn’t trust him....
Her family doesn’t either, he seems scummy. Her relationship with her dad suffered because of this. They still talk and more so now that Lucian is out of her life.
Childhood best friends: Lynn Thomson, Brian Andserson, Raenia Freeman

Lucian - Paige's ex who stole money from her. So much so she had to drop out of college.
Coworker's: Paige works at Planet 7 and part time at the Dance Studio. She goes by Violet at Planet 7. They may or may not know her IRL/out of work.
Past friends/relationships: can be from her Chicago days or college days.
Siblings: she's got one sister Sonja and two brothers Levi and Neil.
Paige King, the first of the King children was born to struggling parents barely making it by as it was. In a tiny cramped apartment in a bad area of Chicago, both parents barely had time to be home. They worked dead end jobs, and soon saw the birth of their second child. Despite their money and living troubles the King parents made sure their children had the best life they could give them.
The King Children had no idea they lacked anything until certain school ages. It didn’t hit Paige until her tween years as she had mostly grown up with other kids in their situation. The King family, now becoming four, had moved to a slightly better housing situation. They each had rooms. Paige and Sonja shared rooms and Levi and Neil had their own room. The house was by no means new or fancy. As luxurious as three rooms sounded It barely had enough space. Their parents rotated jobs, when one was out of work, the other worked. Until their mother landed a full time position in an office job. She became an administrator and soon head of the office.
By this time Paige had developed her own sense of who she was. She loved an audience. She could keep them entertained as well as herself. She came up with elaborate stories, mysteries that were solved one way or another. Some, getting a little convoluted to the annoyance of the neighborhood children and her siblings. She had her main friends by now as well and was blossoming in school. Head of student council, and in as many after school clubs she could fit herself into, Paige kept herself busy, active, and sociable. Her parents expected good grades from their children. They wanted college and good jobs for them. Even if Paige had too many ideas for her future then she could keep up with, she was destined for college and she saw herself accepted into Michigan state.
College was her scene. She got along with her roommates, her Business and Finance classes were far from easy but she welcomed the challenge. She did feel like a small fish in a big ocean… but she was making her home there slowly. Paige met a boy named Lucian, in trade school to become an electrician, the field her father loved and respected but he was a con artist. He stole from Paige’s family, and she had to drop out of college as there was no money for her to finish out the remainder of the year. It was a multi-year con and he nearly destroyed Paige’s relationship with her family in the process. Paige packed up her things and moved to Seattle in an attempt to restart her life. She found beauty vlogging and exotic dancing as ways to pass time and make money.
One day at Planet 7 Paige overheard a conversation about someone sharing her Ex’s name being in the building. She figured it was a coincidence until he was one of her customers. He called her out by her real name. Paige brushed it off and remained professional. But the encounter left her rattled. He left his intentions unclear or how long he’d be floating around Roswell. She dropped her hours at Planet 7 and mainly focuses on the dance studio and vlogging.
Paige took a long sip of her water, letting her body relax a bit before speaking again was crucial. “I live for the spotlight but sometimes I throw in a little something extra. The ol Razzle Dazzle never fails.”
Paige scanned the room. The dimmed lights had brightened once more revealing a fuller riom than when Paige had started singing. So far, he wasn’t here, but the vague posting about Karaoke Night was fresh on her mind. “I haven’t felt this much of a rush in a while. Good thing I’m going up again later.”
“Well, razzle and dazzle you certainly did.” Lyra had never striven to be the center of attention, her focus always gravitating outwards rather than in, be that as it may, her odd behaviors and choice words were often more than capable of making her just that. Tonight, such was not the case. There’s shared whispers and nods of approval sent in the direction of their table, clearly focused upon the female that had just returned — and Lyra is eager to dig in before anyone else is granted the chance. “How long have you been singing?”
Paige thanked the few patrons who gave her compliments. Microdosing being a famous singer was slowly becoming a new favorite hobby. "I've been singing since I could talk. I think I just started singing along to songs on the radio, and I took off from there. Elementary school chorus, then choir... the rest is history." Paige waited until the small crowd died down to sit again. "I was told a few times that I should try out for one of the eight hundred reality talent shows. I never had the chance, though."
Normally, Paige would have swooned over a 'mystery admirer' that type of thing was right up her alley. However, she had solved the amateur mystery by the way the note was typed out. It was Lucian. He didn't know where she lived, so of course he had it dropped off at her job. They were going back. Immediately. She walked into the flower shop, unopened bouquet in hand. "Can I, um, return these? Exchange it for a gift card? I can't..." Paige shook her head, "it's a long story, but I don't want these."
“That’s good because I do think exercising is important.” That was navy in him talking since they would have to do some form of exercise everyday.“ The gym just makes you sleep better at night.” He smiled.“ I haven’t either, I’m surprised there’s so many people who don’t get their exercise in, I mean I don’t see anything hard about it.” He chuckled.“ it kept me healthy all these years.”
“Look at you with your time machine,” Paige joked. Sarcasm tinted her words. She had a house to take care of, technically three jobs. If she wanted her extra side money, she knew she had to keep up her social media presence. “I’ll make sure to save up so I can buy one and make more time for the treadmil.” She gave him a small wink to show she wasn’t seriously upset or offended. Just a playful jest at his comments.
He chuckled at her sarcasm.” Make sure you get a good treadmill though because mines broke down within two years because I picked the cheapest one.” He winked and chuckled softly as he was glad she didn’t take offense to anything he just said. He personally just liked to stay fit as possible and discipline himself. “But you don’t seem like you need a treadmill, you’re already in great shape.”
"One day I'll have the home gym of my dreams. I have an inspo board of the brands I'd buy and it requires me to change tax brackets." Paige replied. Somewhere in her was a lowkey fitness guru. If she had the time and money she'd follow that adventure. "Oh hush you flatter me." She blushed deeply. "I teach dance classes at the Roswell Dance studio. So I cover a lot of bases there. I'm a bit of a pro."
Stage fright was a familiar frienemy. Paige could write a novel on how many worries she had when performing. “For me, the high outweighs the anxieties. I thrive in the spotlight. If I get ridiculed, come up here and do it better.” She added with an accompanying sip of water. “I know it’s not easy. You gotta have a good support system, too. My parents tended to be into 80s music, so I memorized 80s music. It helped with the whole, performing thing I was always doing. Prince, Janet Jackson, Bananarama, Mariah Carey, Whitney Houston… I could go on forever. I got myself grounded singing some Prince songs, though…”
it would have been easy for evanie to shake her head and retreat . it would have been easy for her to make an excuse and say she needed to go to the bathroom , instead wiggling her way out the back door . her lightly freckled nose scrunched before she rose ; the woman brushed down her thighs and reached her hand out for paige to help her up on the stage . she was thankful for the low lights , concealing the warmth of a blush across her cheeks . “ i love eighties music . and nineties . nineties country is my favorite , “ evanie remained scrunched with her shoulders by her ears , as if the ground would swallow her whole if she made herself small enough . “ why don’t we try a duet , before i chicken out ?? “
"Oh 90's country..." Paige thought if she knew any songs of that genre well enough to sing them. "Shania was 90s, right?" She asked out loud as she googled when any of her songs came out. "Ah yes, '97 was still the 90s. I could sing the hell out of Man I Feel Like a Woman. How do you feel about it?"
“Oh stop! You could easily do it.” She only made it look easy. As much as she thrived being in the spotlight, anxieties still wracked her brain. Not tonight though, it had been a stress reliever and a little bit of liquid courage never hurt her performance. “Karaoke is easy, get a handful of songs easy to memorize and there you go. I just sang a lot as a kid and never stopped.” To her credit, she had years to memorize Get Out Of My Dreams. It’s on just about every playlist she had too. “I’ve been singing Billy Ocean since I was little. I could sing his songs in my sleep. He has the voice of an angel. I learned from the best.”
if that was all it took , evanie-may couldn’t be far away from performing herself . she had a plethora of songs in her back catalogue that she knew all the words to — shania twain , tim mcgraw , dolly parton — but it was the confidence that she lacked , that stage presence that would get her up and gripping the microphone as though she was a country star herself . shrugging , the woman shook her head of auburn hair . “ no , no … seriously , you killed it . i don’t know if i could ever … i mean , i get uncomfortable when people stare at me for too long at the bar , “ whether it meant that they were attracted to her or that she had something on her face didn’t matter ; her confidence was at rock bottom and it was now her job to find it . “ billy ocean is amazing . who else do you like ?? i feel like music taste says a lot about a person . “

Getting paid to do Karaoke Night was a dream come true. Paige didn’t have to be her work persona while attending, and she could sing to her heart’s content. And sing she did. Every single thing bothering her melted away once she had the mic in hand and belting out Billy Ocean lyrics. If she could have put on a whole concert she would have. The song felt too short for the emotional high she needed. She would be back up before the night ended. “I needed that. Badly.” Paige said returning to her table. “I can’t wait to go back up, I have a whole setlist planned.”
Lyra proved time and time again to be a special breed, welcoming herself into night life not for the drink or the excitement but merely to observe the people. It was without an ounce of shame that she created new works in her sketchbook, even approaching and asking a woman who’d up until that evening been a stranger, boldly asking if she’d be her muse for the night. It wasn’t hard for Lyra to appreciate people, especially beautiful ones, but Paige’s performance seemed keen on assuring she had all the inspiration she needed. Her eyes are already cast upwards when she arrives back at the table, head shaking in disbelief. “Do you normally get on stage and show everyone up like that or was that just for me?” After all, the drunken and out of pitch belting from the other patrons didn’t come close to the act that Paige had just put on.

with a half-consumed bottle of whiskey that he’d swiped from behind the bar , striker remained seated as the dancer twirled around him . whether it was a promise or a taunt , his his liquor-numbed lips spoke : “ ain’t nothin’ like a kiss out back in the barn . ”
"There's a barn out back?" Paige kept the possible vague flirting going. "Huh wonder when they built that." She found her tips were more gratuitous when she tossed in a little flirting. "Are you a country boy?"

god , evanie wished she had the guts to carve her space up on that stage . it was her night off and yet she found herself back at the wild pony on the other side of the bar , nursing a cheap beer as she watched the performers belting their hearts out to the nights lonely patrons . staring down the neck of her bottle she half ignored paige’s words , assuming they were directed to somebody that meant a whole lot more than little ol’ her . “ you’re incredible . it’s like you’re meant to be up there , “ responded evanie-may as she fiddled with a strand of copper hair , “ i could never have the confidence to get up there and sing like that . i used to sing with my mama , but … “ that was a lifetime ago . “ i’ll leave it to the professionals . “

Nadine was enthralled to actually be a part of the Karaoke Night scene. A frequent activity, either participating them self, or just to scope out how the music scene in Roswell is doing. Judging by the woman with the lungs of a Grammy Award winner, the scene seemed to be doing pretty okay. It was actually refreshing to see more talent rather than hearing some weakly put-together beats on Garage Band. The raven-haired individual clapped genuinely, an admiration to the other’s talent before the woman made her way over. There was a laugh that left Nadine. “With vocals like that, I’d be at the front selling tickets for tonight.” The sincerity in their voice. “Where’d you get them pipes from?” It was asked as though it seemed to be the equivalent to a secret weapon.
Paige wanted to brag about putting on little concerts with her friends. They used to be free but someone mentioned charging them and it all fell apart. "I'll accept chocolate as payment for my headlining tour. The fancy stuff." She joked. Saving herself from any embarassing story that might fly out of her mouth. "I sang a lot as a kid. I was in my school's vocal ensemble. Had a lot of solos. Practice makes perfect or something like that."

The LeBaron was running – which was occasionally a feat in and of itself. The problem with the fact that the LeBaron was running was that the doors were locked, and Julia was outside of it, palms pressed to the driver's side window like a Dickensian orphan. Her forlorn gaze was interrupted by the sound of whatever poor soul had the misfortunate to be in the vicinity, and she let out a hopefully sigh before turning. "Hey! Do you have a wire hanger or something? I'm desperate dude, I'll pay. Not well, but there's at least two beers in the fridge inside with your name on it if you can get this car open without busting out a window."
Normally Paige was an ask questions first kind of person, but before that thought formed, an answer flew out of her mouth. Never assume anything, but realistically, the car needed to be broken into because the keys were locked in…Hopefully… "I do have a wire hanger actually…" Paige motioned to the trunk of her car. "I'll get you one real quick." Being a bit of a fashionista had it's benefits and constantly having hangers was one of them. "You don't have to pay me, but what kind of beers though? And why are we breaking into a car?"
Outside the Wild Pony, Seth’s working on a cigarette, his eyes glazing over as he thinks of all the shit he needs to get done tonight. He’s asked for the bar staff to do inventory at the end of the night, he’s got to order some new shit, and then there’s the fact that he’s gotta get end of month finances done before too long. Seth took business classes while he’d been in jail and while he was better known as a murderer back then, he’d picked up plenty to keep the Wild Pony afloat. It’d been years since he started owning the bar and things were going well for the most part.
What Seth hadn’t planned on his list was that as he walked in, there’s a drunkard getting a little too loud for Seth’s liking. Between the bartenders looking at him and the patrons of the bar turning their attention, the drunk is causing a scene. Seth grabs the man by the neck, pulling him off the barstool with all the force he can without him hitting the ground. He’s stumbling beside Seth, whining about the grip Seth’s tattooed hands have on him. And after sending him flying out the door, a grumble of, ‘get the fuck out,’ Seth’s now the center of attention a smirk on his face. It’s his favorite part of the job– kicking people out. “Need somethin’?” he asks, pausing to raise an eyebrow at the closest person. “Or was he not botherin’ you? Because he was botherin’ me.”
Ignoring bothersome patrons was a skill Paige had mastered a few years back. Given her love of a night life and then her secondary occupation. Drunk (and some sober people) were going to hurl things her way and she had to control how she responded. Especially with her instagram seeing another spike in popularity. The owner didn't seem to have that problem. This was far from the first rowdy bar patron to be kicked out in her years of visiting The Wild Pony and it sure wouldn't be the last. Paige watched the scene unfold, trying to make it not so obvious as well. However, not so deep down, it was a little funny seeing someone who thought they were untouchable, be forcefully removed.
Their eyes met after he kicked the patron out. Paige, ever so smoothly replied, "I've learned to ignore loud troublemakers a long time ago. It's then hands on people that I cannot stand." Her sangria still half full but the deep fried cheese curds were long empty. "I could go for more food though."
Jaxson knew one thing that kept him for losing his mind and that was exercising, So He asked a friend to join him, He threw the towel over his shoulder after doing some laps inside the swimming pool after he did his exercises for the day.” Hey thanks for coming with me.” He turned to the person next to him with a slight smile.
"I'll never turn down a good gym session," Paige replied. Her swimsuit looked more apt for the beach than the gym but that was neither here nor there. It was all she had available on such short notice. "I haven't had a reliable gym buddy in a while. I'm usually sleeping working nights puts a damper on my daily life."
“So? It kinda seems like you don’t give a shit what he wants. Why act like you do?” Ale was the queen of toxicity, but that only meant he knew exactly how to be as toxic as possible. And giving this guy the time of day if she didn’t have to seemed like more effort than he was worth. “Look, you don’t have to listen to me, fuck knows my advice is shit, but if you want him to feel like a fuckin’ fool then treat him like one. Who the fuck gives their attention to a fool any longer than they have to? If he shows up, get him kicked out. Then go on with your night, and the rest of your life, as if he doesn’t fuckin’ matter. Because he doesn’t. And it’s only gonna be giving him what he wants if you give him anything more than that. Why bother hearing him out? Is there any possibility of you actually liking what he has to say? Because if not, fuck him,” Ale laughed, a smile spreading over his features. He was really, really hoping that pill would kick in soon. He definitely needed a boost if this is just how the night was beginning.
"I just want to know if he plans on telling my family about where I work." She admitted. It was sheer curiosity and because if he planned on outing her, she had to prepare. "They're going to think I need money or I'm desperate. I don't and I'm not. I just enjoy the freedom this allows me. I was headed for a boring office job I'd hate." Being a dancer wasn't all glitz and glamour but she flourished here. She got along with her coworkers, her clients were good for the most part. "I'm too nosy for him to pop up and just ignore him."
Lucien would absolutely be kicked out of Penthouse the next time he showed up. She'd entertain his little 'meeting' until she couldn't get anything out of it then bounce. "Watch him not show up now that he's been here days on end... He's a whole clown."
