sometimes I think Persian is hard to understand and then I see texts like this:
if we are to break it down —
zendagi az tu, marg az man
life is you/yours, death is mine
(zindagi = life in hindi/urdu, az = sounds like is in english, tu = you. we can infer than since tu is not yours, az is the word that contains the form. Marg = although mrtyu is the hindi word for death, the infinitive is marna so there is the root word 'mar', so it's not clear as zindagi but you get the idea, almost every indo european language uses m_n as the word for self/mind)
rahaati az tu, naraahati az man
peace is yours, stress is mine
(raahat = peace in hindi/urdu/arabic/turkish, na raahat = na is the negation prefix in Indo-European languages, so opposite of peace, which is stress)
khushi az tu, ghaam az man
happiness is yours, sorrow/sadness is mine
(khushi - happiness in hindi/urdu; there is also khosh in azerbaijani which comes from Persian meaning happy/joyous and this corresponds to hoş in turkish. Ghaam = gham in hindi is sorrow. See 'kabhi khushi kabhi gham' <- movie title)
hama chiz az tu, wale tu az man
everything is yours, but you are mine
(hama is unclear but chiz = cheez in hindi/urdu means thing and hama chiz means everything. Wale is also unclear but it is said to be used in persian poems to signify the one who you're devoted to or deeply infatuated with - so it means you are mine)
