hi there! this is an ad for a sort of friends to lovers turned sour type of plot. please keep in mind that the face is completely open, but i would love for this character's face claim to remain a person of color. and if you have a character already made you think could fit this, i'm more than happy to consider that too! for the sake of this ad, let's call him michael ! dulce is a head-strong, fight through the fire type of person. her hardships have in turn hardened her, and so it can be hard for her to trust or let anyone in, since keeping everyone at arm's length has proven to be safer for her.

enter michael, a golden retriever type personality that is completely opposite dulce's tough exterior. they're opposite in more ways, including the way everything in his life has been relatively easy and he's come from good money (or could even have made good money on his own.) he and dulce will easily become good friends, the best of, even, without saying as much. their platonic friendship is intimate, as michael knows the ins and outs of what dulce's dealing with regarding her family and trying to make it as a chef. her walls come down around him and he's a safe space for her. in turn, perhaps she invites him into the family dynamic that is chaotically running in her small home (he could possibly not have a close family upbringing??) they would do anything for each other, are always hanging out, etc.

eventually the dynamic between them shifts to a physical one, and their signals get crossed. while michael is ready to give into his emotions toward dulce and lay down a foundation of commitment, dulce truly doesn't know how to do that and starts to close off when she realizes she can't just have it her way and be non-committal while expecting the same relationship the two always had. dulce will probably hurt this poor man's feelings, when all he wants to do is love her properly, and when she realizes it, it might be too late.

i'd love for this to be a slow-burn romance, but it's not a finals plot by any means if you don't want it to be! i'd like to go with the flow and see what the cards have in store for them. (this could also be funnn drama if the other want ad for jeremy allen white gets taken!) i have lots of angsty, dramatic developments and plot ideas so know if you take this i'd love you forever!! i'm not the best at writing want ads so if you have any questions pls don't hesitate to find me on the discord and dm me!

Neighbors and pain in each others asses, Dulce and jeremy don't get along, but actually do in their own sense of the way? They bicker and snub each other every chance they get, but they've built a system that works for them. Jeremy owns his own diner, a sinking hole in the wall that's good for coffee and that's about it...and even then, the coffee is no good. Dulce is busy working two night jobs and watching her siblings during the day, but can cook with aspirations to be a chef. Dulce is a regular at his diner, typically late at night before work or early in the morning on her way home. Their playfully mean demeanor means that Dulce just kind of does what she wants at his diner, even if they're fighting about it, but it's no secret her food is good and his business would actually succeed. It would be so cool to explore her helping him out at the restaurant despite their total opposite differences.
