Kortopi was usually much more aware of his surroundings, but the heavy rain buffeting him kept him at a high level of discomfort, so much so that his Nen field barely registered a person approaching him. His entire body shivered from the cold, hugging himself tighter as he prepared to allow this person to pass, only for a sudden relief to wash over him.

He was being shielded from the rain.

What… who…

He looked up through the wet hair stuck to his face.

Feitan.

Kortopi’s visible eye suddenly shone, sparkled almost with gratitude, and his aura became a lot less threatening, quietly delighting in the other’s company. He huddled closer to Feitan, nearly touching, but making sure not to get his clothes wet from how absolutely soaked he was himself.

“Thank you.” He offered shyly, wringing some of the moisture from his hair. “It suddenly started pouring out of nowhere…”

     The lower half of features sank deeper into fabric as he adjusted his posture, in order to allow for a more comfortable stride while sharing the umbrella. His choice in weaponry came in handy for multiple purposes, unsatisfactory weather included, even if that wasn’t its intended usage. As simple as the act may have been, it was a luxury that he would offer up to very few, this individual the main recipient. 

     The wrinkle between brows eased up, to soften features an inkling as he paid a glance to the soggy mass of hair now beside him. A subtle sigh falling from slightly parted lips at the nonchalant attitude on the matter displayed by the other. Though he had come to expect little different from the other over time. 

                                         “ You trying to get a cold or something? “
