(My Red is PokeSpe!Manga verse, so I'm going off of his personality from there uvu;) I would describe Red as a cheery individual - he's kind and selfless when it comes to others, though he can also be a bit impulsive depending on the situation.
As a rookie trainer, Red was quite arrogant-- believing he was above others. Though as he continued to learn and advance as a trainer, that aspect of his personality eventually weakened and he is now generally down to earth; sensible and trustworthy.
Red is quite selfless. He does all in his power to ensure his friend's safety - even willing to put himself in danger in order to do so. Looking back at the trustworthy point, it is evident that it is easy for others to put their trust in Red because of his personality. He's kind and dependable to a point in which even wild pokemon trust and respect him.
With all that has occurred, it is easy to say that Red is now quite humble--a big distinction from how he first started out.
RP Sample:
The familiar brunette drew closer at a rapid place, immediately igniting a sense of joy into the ravenette as he took notice of just who had wandered into mutual plains. Wide grin in place, the trainer raised a friendly palm. The pair had come far-- though remaining rivals it was safe to assure that the two were also good friends; the ravenette even considering the other as somewhat of a best friend.
"Heh, don't you have duties at the gym--Green?"
A light tease lingered in his tone, pallid lips remaining partially parted while his smile seemed permanently rooted unto his features. A flash of yellow passed as Pika leaped upon the ravenette's shoulder, a small grin of his own forming at his lips as his gaze settled upon the brunette. Though the other seemed to be a bit surprised to see the crimson trainer return to Pallet. Not that he could exactly blame him. He had gone to Mt. Silver to tend to his wounds; just now returning as a few weeks had gone by.
Coming to the conclusion that he would not bring his journey into discussion, he took a step closer to the brunette before allowing words to pass his lips.
"How are things at the gym?"
Of course.
He could not contain his curiosity. He wanted to be informed of all that had occurred during his leave, including how Green had been doing with his new title as Gym Leader.

Personality
Easygoing – True to his looks Kyouhei is the type of person to roll with the punches. He’s usually the finisher of things, coming in with a level head to sort things out for those who can’t. He’s a poor leader because of this and often he works alone.
Defensive – On the same page if you approach him antagonistically he’s a bit of a fighter, though his bark is definitely bigger than his bite.
Driven – Simply put he gets things done by himself. Once assigned a task Kyouhei will complete it to the best of his ability. Just like when he was a child he tends to fly under the radar doing a lot of behind the scenes work with Team Plasma.
Outgoing - While nowhere near “loud” Kyouhei is never the one to be shy. He’s approachable and enjoys the company of nearly anyone and anything.
Athletic - His primary interest is in swimming but Kyouhei’s always been very athletic, whether it be running or gymnastics he’s basically built to be lean and swift.
Remorseful – Despite his commitment to Team Plasma he regrets doing a lot of the crimes, they are a burden that rest heavily on his shoulders especially with no one to really vent to.
Inquisitive – He’s a bit of a scholar, always pursuing some new information, curiosity driving him forward. Be prepared for lots of questions.
Easily impressed – It doesn’t take much to pull the wool over his eyes. He’s amazed by anything as long as the teller can make it sound enticing enough.
Flustered – Never one to really dabble with romance any romantic advances are usually met with a resounding display of typical awkward teenager finesse. It’s a quick way to break his typical relaxed shell. He will avoid any romantic situation like the plague.
RP Sample -
The result of a late night tryst between his mother and a stranger Kyouhei Iyato began his life a little unconventionally. Anzu was a young, pretty Pokecenter nurse in the blossoming Asperita city and soon after a chance encounter with a Pokemon trainer from another region she found out that her entire world was about to change, with the arrival of her son. With help from her friends and the community the young mother to be was able to get the needs for her child and was able to provide him a basic but loving household. Growing up in Asperita city with Mei and Hue Kyouhei was always the one to lay back, letting his closest friends take the spotlight. He wasn’t brimming with passion like Hue or as kindhearted as Mei, but still he was ever-present in the background. He was never a shy child, he just preferred to fly under the radar. He was the type of child to comfort trainers who came in to his mothers work distressed about their sick Pokemon even if they were complete strangers, he was kindhearted and goodnatured, everything his mother could have wanted.
As he aged he met Hue and Mei, he was drawn to their strong personalities and the trio was quick to become friends. Sure there were petty childish arguments – an innocent crush here or there - And times where all they did was compete amongst themselves, Who was better at sports? Who got better grades? What about who was brave enough to sneak out in to the tall grass? With the Asperita trio everything could be turned in to an adventure.
Then came the ultimate adventure – their long awaited Pokemon journeys. He was the last to pick his Pokemon from Bianca, choosing the grass Pokemon Snivy. Almost immediately he was challenged to a battle by Hue and Mei, he lost both of them. Still he loved his little partner, nicknamed Snips it was a pretentious little creature despite being a complete clutz and it never ceased to amuse the young brunette male. He wasn’t too keen on battling, he would much rather have spent his time searching for Pokemon to fill up Professor Juniper’s Pokedex but he got caught up in the typical competitive air of the Asperita trio.
It was at the nearby Floccesy ranch that Kyouhei had his first encounter with Team Plasma. It was brief – Only long enough for Kyouhei to see that these people wore an insignia faintly familiar to him. Two years prior he remembered seeing stories of two heroes – Touko and Touya who took down the nefarious Team Plasma.. but that symbol.. there was no mistaking it, it had to be the same organization. And the young boy couldn’t help but feel dangerously curious. Dismissing it and focusing instead on his journey he began to grow better at battling, bit by bit. Still Mei and Hue were able to defeat him, but it was slightly more difficult. It was in Castelia city that Kyouhei first met a man that would revolutionize his life; Akuroma, the interim leader of Team Plasma. After a Pokemon battle in which Kyouhei just narrowly won Akuroma began to answer the boys many questions about Team Plasma. Akuroma told him that they were in fact Team Plasma, running under a new set of ideals, they no longer wished to liberate Pokemon from their trainers and instead wanted to push them to their full power.
"Team Plasma said we should recognize the potential in Pokémon and liberate them from humans. I disagree. Conversely, it should be humans who bring out the hidden potential in Pokémon!"
And then the offer, only given out of courtesy to the exceedingly interested teen. Akuroma offered to let Kyouhei join Team Plasma under the promise of being able to bring out the hidden potential in Pokemon. – Kyouhei agreed.
His intentions were innocent enough, blinded by a romanticized version of ideals and driven by a competitive spark Kyouhei secretly began working with Team Plasma, hiding this from all of his friends and family. He had no intentions in becoming so wrapped up in the affairs of Team Plasma and more sinisterly Ghestis’s twisted plot to gain ultimate control. The young trainer had only joined based on Akuroma’s explanation, and like most Grunts didn’t know the true intentions of Team Plasma behind closed doors. Still as Kyouhei became assimilated into the ranks he was subjected to Ghestis’s infamous speeches. Subconsciously he, like so many others began to believe bit by bit more about Team Plasma’s cover objective of usurping the hidden potential out of Pokemon.
Still the bond with his friends tended to drag him back down to reality. All too wary of Hue’s disdain of Team Plasma and Mei seeking to take the organization down with him Kyouhei saw no other option then to hide his involvement with Plasma. He became a sort of double agent, posing as simply a young trainer while turning around and committing crimes for Team Plasma on the side.
Since this had begun he has certaintly distanced himself from his two best friends but keeps up his apperaces regularly acting at Pokestar studios, taking on Gym Leaders, and participating in the PWT. As a person so involved in the Unovian community its easy for him to act differently than a typical grunt who tends to stick out. Still even with his commitment he doesn’t know the extent of damage team Plasma is intending to cause and it is certainly setting him up for quite the moral dilemma once he finally figures it out.

Character Name: Will (last name unknown)
Personality: To put it simply, Will is a character who has learned not to take life too seriously, else risk falling into a deep pit of despair. Born from a childhood which lacked a “true” family, Will spent his early years going from orphanages to foster parents and back again, never feeling as though he belonged anywhere. To make up for the anger and loneliness he often felt, Will put on a mask (both literally and figuratively) to hide those feelings. This mask was one that allowed him to wear a constant smile, attempting to entertain others to no end.
He eventually tried to make a living on his own, working as a street performer with magic shows and fortune tellings, always having to find a new place to stay for the night, and wondering if things would ever change. Things did change when the teenager was offered a chance to join Team Rocket, which he did with some suspicion. It wasn’t until a good time later that Will became a member of the Johto Elite Four, thanks to several of its other members.
Despite his life changing quite a bit, Will still retains his desire to create his own sort of magic within his life, as well as to make others happy - happier than he’d ever been. He also continues to wear his physical mask for unrevealed reasons.
RP Sample: The day had been magnificent - it was one of the rare sort where members of the Elite Four could take a day off to go wherever or do whatever they wanted, a privilege that was simply magical to Will. It wasn’t that he didn’t feel extremely lucky to have his job, but being the first Elite to battle challengers could take quite a toll on someone. These were people who’d spent so much time working for that very moment when they’d finally get to step foot into the Pokemon League, most of the time only to end up failing and falling at the feet of the Psychic. That being said, today was a much needed day of relaxation.
Will had decided to take a trip to Ecruteak City, which he considered to be one of the most peaceful and reassuring towns in the region. And indeed, it had been wonderful to simply stroll around the city and admire its rich history and old buildings. It was nearing late afternoon when the Elite decided to sit on a bench near Bell Tower and people-watch. A surprising amount of people walked about on such a lazy afternoon - both old and young couples, eager trainers, laughing children. The Psychic smiled, silently sneaking his way into the minds of some passerby’s, discovering more about their lives and most private thoughts. He was delighting himself in a young man’s thoughts of his beautiful girlfriend when the sound of crying suddenly hit his ears and tore him from his trance.
The Elite immediately stood, his eyes searching the city streets behind his mask for the source of the noise. It wasn’t long before he noticed a group of children circling a slightly smaller child and calling out taunts to the young boy. Taking a deep breath of faux-authority, Will casually walked over the group to see what was going on, the children barely noticing as he approached them.
“You’re so weird!” shouted one of the children, who was quite round and snot-nosed, “Why did your parents LEAVE you alone? I know! It’s because you’re WEIRD!”
All of the other children began to laugh hysterically, and Will could feel his cheeks reddening and his lax hands beginning to transform themselves into fists. Adjusting his mask, he moved right behind the taunter and looked down at him with a frown.
“Something wrong here?” he asked as casually as possible, eyes moving towards the victim of the bullying. The center child looked up at his savior with both gratefulness and fear, his cheeks still stained with tears. The boy who’d previously been teasing turned to stare up at the masked man with an open mouth before firing a malicious grin.
“This kid said he’s adopted! Why would somebody just get rid of their kid? That kid must be pretty lousy!”
Will grimaced and felt a fire rising within his chest. At this point, he wanted to give this bully the punishment he deserved. Using his psychic powers, the Elite raised the child into the air, bringing him to eye level and practically baring his teeth at the other.
“Look, how dare you make fun of someone who’s just a bit different than you are! If you ask me, there are PLENTY of reasons your friend here could be making fun of YOU if he desired, but that’d go against the point I’m trying to make...err...do as I say and not as I do!” The Psychic adjusted his mask again, too filled with anger to be making any sense, “Now, if I EVER catch you doing this again, you’re going to be in a LOT more trouble. Capiche?”
Will placed the boy back to the ground, only to psychically pull down his pants and reveal Jigglypuff-patterned underpants to the entire group, all of which began laughing hysterically. The Psychic wiped his hands and gave the small child who’d been teased a thumbs up, grinning.
“Well,” he said, “looks like my work here is done.”
And with that, he called out his dear Xatu from its Pokeball and teleported back to his chamber at the Pokemon League.
