I remind myself that everyone endures a silent pain. To those weathering the most vicious storms, I give shelter. This is my duty.
I grieve not for those whose only joy is to spread suffering.
Despite everything, despite myself, I am here. I am still here. Every breath is a silent victory.
My vessel of mortality is irrelevant to the wild magic innate to sincere love.
The sun rises, I breathe in deeply. As light washes over the land, I leave the mistakes of yesterday behind.
The space occupied by my body and spirit reassures others, and I need not shrink to accommodate any outside forces. I am exactly the size I should be at all times.
Any who turn their face to the light are welcome to bask in its warmth. I uphold the tenets of the light.
I acknowledge that my community is only as safe as its most vulnerable members. I accept the responsibility to use my strength to fortify those most in need.
My diligence is a shield against pestilence.
With the sun at my back, I face shadows without fear.
I make choices that protect the people around me. I acknowledge the long-term benefit of being community-minded.
No small act of kindness is an act wasted. I give with an open heart.
I act with noble mindfulness. I am present in the moment and imprint virtuousness upon my gestures.
The gentleness of my soul belies the keenness of my blade.
I am made more human by the yearning of my heart. Honest self-acceptance is not a departure from the divine.
I am at peace, for I know that distance between myself and those I protect is meaningless. There is no dark place that my warm light cannot reach.
All living things are my kin, and an active injustice against them is an active injustice against myself.
