implications of this theory: 

the lions tattle to shiro when the paladins are up to something. 

“lance is homesick again”

“pidge is about to blow something up”

“keith trained himself into exhaustion”

shiro finds himself dad to four teenagers and five giant space-faring mechanical lions. he didn’t sign up for this, but he’s trying to roll with it. 

when they get in cuddle piles, everyone can feel how happy and content everyone else is, and it’s magical

they all know when someone’s hurt, but they also know when someone’s alive even if they can’t find them rn. it takes the edge off the panic when they’re separated after the wormhole. they don’t know anything else, but they do know that everyone is alive, and that’s what’s important

everyone is very protective of pidge, as the smallest and the youngest, but they also become very protective of coran, because he’s the only one they can’t feel. coran is bemused by these very young humans trying to care for him. it eases off once they find sam and matt holt, but really, they just become protective of two more people

Allow me to present to you this headcanon: Shiro as a Japanese Brazilian!

Brazil has the most number of Japanese immigrants in the world. This is a result from a large number of Japanese people fleeing from Japan to Brazil at the beginning of the 20th century. Bairro da Liberdade (Freedom) is a district in São Paulo (Brazilian State) that is home to the largest Japanese community outside of Japan. I’ve been there and it’s both huge and amazing! Most people living in there speak both Portuguese and Japanese and there are also some Japanese newsspapers that run in this area. It’s a very welcoming place for anime and manga fans and it’s not hard to find cosplayers meeting in the area. Karaoke contests are famous in the area. There are also a smaller number of Chinese and Korean folks living in Liberdade.

Introducing the Voltron team to chimarrão. Coran absolutely falls in love with it, Hunk loves the smell and taste, Pidge and Keith are very reluctant to even try it out and Lance dives right in in one go. Allura is suspicious and finds out it’s not really to her taste but still appreciates the thought.

Whenever the panic attacks get bad and he needs to calm down, Shiro likes to isolate himself from the others and listen to bossa nova and Maria Gadú. It really helps him out.

Shiro’s father is Japanese, his mother is Brazilian.

He’s fluent in Japanese, Portuguese and English, which helps him get that scholarship at the garrison. He learns some Russian as well, though he’s not as good at it, but it’s important for the space program. 

Shiro and Lance thinking they can understand each other because Portuguese and Spanish are similar and then realizing how bad an idea that was.

Shiro came to fall in love with space while visiting the SONEAR (Southern Observatory for Near Earth Asteroids Research) observatory with his parents as a kid, located in the state of Minas Gerais. It was an experience unlike any other and that’s when he decided he wanted to be an astronaut for real.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!! ;)

And before anybody starts asking why Allura’s wedding dress is purple, well I have a theory: 

-If you search for Zarkon and Honerva’s wedding you’ll see her dress is also purple. And many of the “bonding moments” through the show happenend in a scene with purple lightning, Keith and Lance, Hunk and Shay, Allura and Lotor. Therefore my theory is that in altean culture means “bonding” or “union”.

-And Shiro got his alteans marks because of another theory I developed thanks to @knightofacherus which is that maybe when alteans choose a companion for life they can leave a mark on them if they’re not altean, and maybe when it’s an altean those who have been “marked” can change the color their marks to prove their union. But you don’t need to take that theory too serious since Honerva didn’t mark Zarkon. I still like it though.

I LOVED SEASON 8

Remember when lance confessed to allura and it didn’t feel completely out of place?

I loved when shiro found Adam and then Adam proposed to shiro and they got married in the end

THE FIGHT SCENES!! ALL OF THEM!!

Allura is such a great character I love how she just lived her life as a strong beatiful empress

Klance became canon!! KLANCE IS CANON KING!!!

Remember when lotor actually came back for real? That scene was great!

Keith and lance on the black lion 0 feet apart, staring into eachother’s eyes as Keith said soft things about lance shit that actually happened

I love how lance stayed a pilot forever and didn’t become something he never even said he wanted to be

Allura is a strong independent woman who didn’t need a man, so beautiful and alive

Baby lotor was adorable I loved how lotor was alive and all

Human lance was amazing and made complete sense

Adam had a name and everything!!

All the loose ends were tied up!! It felt like everything was resolved!!! A proper ending!!!!!!!!

The whole series was just well paced overall I loved it

grocery store au where shiro and keith go grocery shopping and keith is Eleven Years Old so he climbs into the cart to establish dominance or whatever and ends up falling asleep. and instead of waking him up shiro just places groceries around him, first for the laughs and then for the Challenge, until keith is just completely covered in misc items.

eventually shiro just like, genuinely forgets keith is in the cart, and gets into the checkout line. there’s a lot of groceries and the store is pretty empty, so the cashier starts helping him unload everything onto the conveyor belt. they’re making small talk, and shiro is starting to think 😏 when, at that exact moment, they both unearth keith (not unlike an archaeological dig site).

the cashier pauses and shiro can literally feel his chances plummeting. but the other guy simply picks up his scanner, pretends to run it over keith’s still sleeping form, makes a beeping noise, and then says “that’ll be $0.38 please.”

and that’s how shiro and adam first met
