So, I’m a skeptic.
But I’m trying it. If there’s any chance it works, I should be trying it. This is self-care. It’s a big step for me in my recovery. I will be as healthy as possible. I will take care of my body. I will plan for the future.
So. I’ve got Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome, Hashimoto’s, ITP, autoimmune urticaria, and who knows what else. I’ll be trying the autoimmune protocol for 90 days, at which time I will have my antibodies and platelets tested. If I feel better after those 90 days, or if my antibodies are down and my platelets are up, I’ll continue AIP. I’ll try to reintroduce as much as I can but once I find out what works for me, I’ll stick to it. I’ll only cheat sometimes, promise.
I’m just hoping that I don’t lose too much weight doing this. A few pounds would be fine but I’d get caught on that slippery slope way too easily.
