Im going to be a little mean about a very popular bg3 ship but im a little peeved so here goes. I dont get gale/astarion i dont get the cemestry i didnt see chemistry between them. It feels like just putting the two white guys together. I really wanna like the ship cause they have the most fics and the best concepts (timeloop fics.. drools) i keep seeing them but i dont get itttt i dont. I think some of their dialogue together is funny but i dont get the tension everyone else is seeing. Im open to being persuaded ig but uhhhggg

also i draw seam in dresses and skirts alot of the time. i like to think that most of them were gifted to seam by jevil. in my au at least before they got their job at the castle seam mostly wore their cloak that they are seen wearing in game. but after getting their job they are told they should probably start dressing a bit more nicely. jevil gives them some outfits 1) so that seam can look good for performances and 2) because jevil likes seeing them in the pretty outfits. anyway thats what i was thinking about for the rest of these

Im not really in the project hail mary fandom but i do lurk sometimes and it makes me really happy to see so many people headcanoning grace as aroace for reasons i relate to.
Usually aroace headcanons are done in bad taste cause people just don’t have anyone to ship them with or they’re unapproachable and emotionless etc but the reason people see grace as aro is because he gets treated the same way many aro people do.
That one scene where they basically tell him he has nothing to live for because he has no family he has no partner and therefore is expendable despite him having kids he teaches and cares for and he has friends he loves and cherishes but. Thats not enough for them.
It’s a thing i think of a lot when i see the way romantic relationships are treated like they’re somehow on a higher bar than friendships. How people treat you when you don’t want to have sex like you’re innocent and childish and it’s something you’ll grow into and that’ll change. When you tell people you don’t get crushes and they say that’ll change. Does it have to change? What if im happy like this? What if im satisfied with the love i already express? Do i really need that more-important-than-anything romantic bond to be happy?
Apologies for going off topic from the grace thing but i have friends i would die for, id wanna live the rest of my life with, that id do anything to see happy. Then i see fandoms treat this kind of love like it can only be romantic. Look this character does so much for this other character they want them so bad!! I UNDERSTAND SHIPPING CULTURE BUT SOMETIMES I REALLY WANT TO BE SEEN. I WOULD DO THE SAME THING FOR MY FRIENDS WITH ZERO ATTRACTION INVOLVED!!! THAT KIND OF DEVOTION DOES NOT EQUAL ROMANTIC ATTRACTION!!! WHY IS IT SO IMPORTANT THAT YOU HAVE TO LOVE SOMEONE THAT SPECIFIC WAY TO SHOW THAT AMOUNT OF CARE???
Ive never felt romantic attraction to anyone in my entire life, that doesn’t mean i don’t feel love. That doesn’t mean i cant feel that deep bond with people. It doesn’t make me any less human.
